Hesitantly, she sauntered forward a step or two, wide eyes searching into the den for some kind of hint or indication. This sucked, she had to admit. Maybe she would not be so good at this healing stuff, after all? She could listen and learn well but... did she need a voice? Would others be able to understand her? Fighting was easy. You didn't need a voice to fight or protect and yet... she felt like they expected something more gentle from her. Besides, her name had something to do with gentleness. Well, she supposed she'd find out today. She just hoped it didn't turn out like it had with the pelicans - even their nips had hurt, so a wolf's would be worst. She noticed the small wolf shuffling up; truthfully, they were almost alike in their size and yet, this was an adult? It seemed strange but she supposed her mother was small too. Perhaps all mothers were small and maybe that was why they needed healers? It'd make sense, particularly as the girl rose for so did the scent of blood. Her whine did not go unnoticed and instantly, Apollinari ducked her head in a confirmation of sorts. Slowly, she lowered onto her belly and shuffled forward, dragging along her collection with her as she entered the den. She had to move aside, pressing up against the walls in order to let in light as she was met with the scent of blood even more so. Below, she could hear the sounds of pups. It took her a minute but eventually her eyes adjusted and with it, she got to see their two tiny forms. They were... strange, and yet, she knew she had to offer a comforting, congratulatory smile at least. It wasn't really important, though, not compared to the wounds she could sense. After all, blood really wasn't a good thing. With a sheepish grin, she moved around to have a quick... inspection, noticing the tearing. It didn't seem so bad, at least, though she had little experience with what seemed normal. With that, she pushed the broken wood towards Sekera, motioning to the small black seeds that clung to the bark. She opened her mouth then in an attempt to get the message across - eat. For now, at least, that would get rid of the pain and they could establish a better line of communication. |
