Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He clinched his pelt in maw running paw gently over a fine smelling lavender that was growing well. It was good for relaxing those around him and filling the air with its rather potent scent. Nothing though could have fully covered for the fowl scent of death that clung to the male that now approached him. Meryl didn’t notice immediately, engrossed in the scent and growth of the herbal stash he was looking over, he was content and happy figuring this trip to the free lands would work out as any other, as always. Little did he know the Demon Lord himself was about to make his day utter and truly hell as well change his life as he knew it forever.

The tri-colored boy turned at the sound of the male the sickening rotten smell that clung to his pelt enough to make his stomach churn. Their eyes met and the much smaller, wolf could see the raw hate and pain in his eyes. The pair stood staring for a moment, Meryl wasn’t unprepared though, his long legs tensing his body posed for the moment that the black and red marked wolf would strike out towards him, he didn’t understand why he was being looked at that way though. He was scared, he had no one out here and he knew it, the brute wanted his blood something he made all the more obvious as he lashed his head to the side. It seemed Meryl had a way of ticking Kings of Demons and Angels off even without knowing. The scar from Heyel himself was still adorned upon his chest and Meryl wasn’t so eager to get more let alone from a wolf that showed little control.

It was then the strange brute’s voice boomed out, angry stepping closer and closer to him and Meryl taking just as many steps back. What was he talking about? He wasn’t supposed to exist and be dead? Well he never knew the circumstances of his birth, no one did though and certainly no demon Iromar wolf would be more educated on the matter he was sure. He was obviously crazy, for there were no sense to his words Meryl himself only had a name and a vague appearance of his mother and, that he was aware, they were utterly alone in is short time with her. Then he snarled again, Meryl froze. He was right, this male was out for his head and he had no idea why, and his instincts were clicking in.

”You’re crazy!” He yelped as the male lunged at him twisting his on lithe frame around using his long legs and rather stream lined body to pull himself just barely out of harms way, hardly because the male caught in his maw the pelt bag that was just in place of where his throat had been, abandoned now but perhaps it had saved the smaller wolves life. He picked his paws up spinning about the male and putting himself as fast as he could behind him. Meryl was curious though to what made the wolf so mad, what had he done to him?
