The tall, muscular brute walked towards the pup, who was still small even though he looked taller and lankier than one of his age should be. He was still confused why a pup would wander to this pack alone. He knew of another family with older pups that was in the process of joining, but a pup on their own? Surely this young brute would do better at a friendlier, though in Grey Wind’s mind, weaker pack. A pack that wouldn’t consider taking out one as weak and useless as a lone pup. Annoyance flickered through the brujo, but he pushed it aside, knowing it was not the pup’s fault that he had been left on his own. But then again, why was he alone? Where were his parents? Did they leave him for a specific reason or were they just careless and cruel? And why was it now thrust upon Abendrot to look after him? But the more that Grey Wind thought about it he realized that it could be a good thing. The pack had been very quiet lately and perhaps having some fresh lupines to train to Kershov’s needs could help the pack. And this one was so young he could be molded to do the king’s bidding, whatever that may be. Maybe this wasn’t such a bad thing.
The pup took a step back, sitting down on his haunches as he did so. Grey Wind was glad to see that he had some sense to realize that he could potentially be in danger and was not stupid and bold. The pup’s face remained calm and expressionless, listening to the words that the older brute spoke, as if he was some adult, unafraid of the world and the dangers that it posed. After Grey Wind finished speaking the youngster before him spoke up, no fear or hesitation in his vocals, "My name is Akihito, it seems its natural around here to pups to belong to a pack so iv come seeking one.." He paused for a moment before continuing. "Iv heard about this pack and i understand what kind of place it is, i also understand that some of you would see pups as useless so if you find me a burden then your welcome to kill me." At his words the large brute chuckled darkly, wondering where this pup had come from. Did he really care so little for his life? At the words the brute had the urge to do something drastic, something to bring fear into the little brute’s life, something to hurt him and show him how cruel the world was.
”Well I suppose today is your lucky day then. It is not up to me to decide your fate; that decision lies with the King of these lands, Kershov. He will decide what is to be done with you, to decide if you can be of use to this pack or not and what purpose you will pose.” After he spoke he raised his maw to the sky, calling out for his king to come and judge this lupine that wanted to join the ranks of Abendrot. He knew that Ker may already know this pup was here, watching from the shadows. Or he may be further in the territory, waiting for the calls of his soldiers. Either way Grey Wind would wait as long need be for Ker to get here. He turned his yellow orbs back to the pup before him, ”So, Akihito. Tell me, where did you come from? Why are you not with a family? And do not lie. Lying is not a trait tolerated in the pack of Abendrot.” His tone was not unkind, but it was not as friendly as if the brute was speaking to a packmate. He had not shifted his position, continuing to sit on his haunches, plume wrapped around his paws as he kept his ears and nares alert to the presence of his alpha.
"Fight back,"He snarled.
