Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Impatience blossoms in the young girls chest, along with a deep spearing pain that was all too familiar. What if he never came back? A sharp, piercing whine escapes her maw, the sound utterly miserable as she takes a shaking breath inward. She coughs, choking on unshed tears that she has held on to since she was left to the mercy of Moladion's fate. That is, until her sensitive ears pick up the uneven shifting in the sand that meant someone was limping, the bark making her smirk through the sadness. "If your leg is broken, fixing it will be awfully..." She turns to look at him, navy blue eyes going wide as she gapes at his wound. She has seen this before, Mortz had a wound similar to this before he had - she snaps that thought off, before she began to outwardly sob and make him panic.

"Lay down." She says, being a bit more demanding than her nature would normally allow for the king. "Now." Her stern voice and crossed brow suggest her seriousness, and her time limit would surely let the king know she does mean it. Off she is like a rocket, her small frame nothing but a white streaking object across the white sandy beach of their home. She darts all the way to the den where she stashes all of her medical supplies.

Quickly she blows the spiders from the webs she has them spin, grabbing a twig to entwine them on as she quickly sweeps them from the walls. She makes a mad dash for the seal bladder from Weylin's rule, stashing five twigs wrapped up in spider silk and cobwebs, some sea urchin quills - which in small amounts the poison held in them worked as a local anesthetic, numbing the pain of even the most horrendous wounds. She brings aloe, and sage, dune grass, and a few unnamed plants that she has used as antibacterial remedies. Yes, the Marius is a girl made of scars, not afraid to test things out upon herself before anyone else in the pack.

She stashes the seal bladder with all her supplies, then puts the pouch in a sea turtle shell, the side of which she keeps firmly between her fangs as she sprints back to where she left Tesseract. She keeps her head to the side, both to avoid tipping and tripping as she races across the narrow straight back to mainland. It is not far from the water, but far enough that getting to her king took way too long.

Panting, she sets to work, not speaking because she was unsure of what to say, his remark from earlier finally settling in her mind. "Then growl to the heavens and the heathen who gives you this gaping wound..." She smirks, her bell like voice taking on a softer - and far more her - tone. Moving the pouch, she studies the wound, lightly nudging him to lay on his side, testing him to see if he can hold his fangs back as she licks the outer edge of the wound to smooth the fur out of her way. "I will be quick about this. It is really going to be hell trying to fix this one, Tess. And it is really going to hurt. I have to clean it, and to do that...I need salt water...and its going to feel like I stabbed you with a stick after a firestorm. What I do, is out of respect and on some level love. Keep that in mind as I try to put you together." She gives him a gentle smile and runs off once more, toward the ocean.

The sea turtle shell in her jaws, she wades out into chest deep water, lowering her bowl to the tide and getting clean water to cleanse his side with. When the shell is full, she makes a fast walk seem like floating. Her legs extend evenly so she will not spill the precious salt water within the container, coming back to him to settle in for a long healing process. She grabs the twigs from the bag, dipping them first into the water, then setting them on the wound, getting him used to the idea of what he is about to go through. The webs lose their grip on the small sticks, and she slides them off to pack the wound and stop the flow of blood, after this, she waits. Only a few moments to let him gather himself should he need it, all of her medical instincts yelling at her to keep working, one look at his face is all it will take to make compassion over ride instinct.

Only he mattered in this moment, and she was glad for the relief he brought with him, to see his face as he marched back home all broken for her to fix when she needed it the most. "Sorry if I go too far...let me know when you need to rest or need me to take a break...I don't know your tolerance level for pain, though I am expecting it to be high for you to have walked this far on that brand of wound. So please, tell me when to continue. Okay?" She smiles, trying to act as if she isn't bleeding on the inside from a wound that will never stay closed. She realizes that she got lost, that in her intense need for distraction she never really thought about what he must be suffering.
