Kai padded through the forest for once his charcoal colored pelt was without knots due to him passing by a lake earlier that day, he was quite a handsome wolf despite the mismatched blue and yellow/amber eyes and the missing chunk out of his left ear. It was too bad he had a pretty messed up personality. Yup despite kai`s good lucks he was a whimsical, hard to deal with at times, somewhat crazy, having a thinking process no one could wrap their head around, super cranky in the morning, sadistic, possessive and somewhat childish guy who has a pile of bones building up in his den which was located in the cavern of secrets and more than once he had been mistaken as the beast living within them. For that reason he had never been able to talk to many wolves as they soon got tired of his whimsical ways and odd behavior, also the reason he had never visited the river where howls of love often emitted from in fact the very thought of going to such a place made his hurt ache but then why exactly had he somehow ended up at the very place he had scorned during his daily stroll? He sighed and decided he needed a drink anyway leaving the shade of the trees and stepping out into the light to take a long drink from the cool rushing water.
He sat down on a smooth rock near the waters edge to take a rest, he had walked further than usual today and he now he had sat down he realized the pain in his muscles and the fact that he was`nt getting up anytime soon. So he turned his attention to the wolves scattered about the river there where a few males and even some couples that where newly mated and where about to leave, but what stood out most where several females gazing at him expectantly and preening themselves, sure he had to admit they were pretty but something about that attitude that suggested it was his duty to come over and talk to them pissed him off and out of spite he turned his head away gazing into the forest he had just emerged from much to the shock and anger of the females that had been putting on a show for him.
