I could not believe that after all these years, I had met someone like myself. It was awe inspiring, it was so surreal that I was sure I was dreaming. After all, how would it be that I could be so lucky to not only run into another like myself, but actually hold a conversation that didn’t actually include any words of any sort. Unspoken communication at its best, right? I watch the features on the dark male’s face as I brought the daisy flower to him, he nodded his head, and mouthed my name back to me, and I grinned, my tail wagging softly as I smile at him.
Yes, yes, My name was Daisy! Oh how much fun it was to be named after a flower and that made it so much easier to introduce myself, that is, in the summer, and spring. In fall and winter it was a bit harder, especially winter when everything was dead and buried under the snow. I watched him as be began mouthing letters to me. I studied each movement his mouth made, studying his lips carefully as he spoke. I nodded slowly, mouthing back the letters as he paused between them. ‘Reich’ I nod my head, hoping that in my mind, I was pronouncing it right. But then again, we couldn’t say the words so there was no way to actually figure it out. I grin, wondering what else there was to do at this point, because I was so unfamiliar with relationships with other wolves mainly because I usually only was involved with my family. So now, I was kind of at an impasse to figure out what was going on. |
