Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

“Ah, a walk, I see. Are you going to stick with that?”

One eye lifted slightly once more, clearly continuing to enjoy my momentary amusement with the boy, the barest hint of a smirk given to place itself upon my lips as I continued to regard him, the poor creature so seemingly oblivious to the game I played. Truly, I suppose, I should hardly be so harsh upon him and yet I am so rarely afforded such humour within my day any longer. Besides, despite my unusual methods perhaps I am given rather an excellent opportunity to truly assess him, to test him, to see how very well he handles the questions and barbs of others. If it is an Assassin he seeks as a mate, then he must be well and truly prepared for such things within his life. After all, Neveah will not always be safe, there will be others whom seek to come against her, seek to use him to harm her and he may well need his wit one day- dull as it has so far proven to be. Neveah, however, seems well aware of the jest I play, remaining silent as her potential mate seems to teeter upon the brink of collapse. Truly his efforts to remain polite are admirable, if anything he is a patient creature and reluctant as I may be to admit it- in time, perhaps, he will be a suitable sire, if only for his evenness of temperament. There is little else about him that is actually redeemable, honestly I fear he will father entirely black children and yet I suppose that is a fear I must come to grips with in time.

My amusement with the situation however, was unfortunately short lived, the violet of my gaze drifting once more to my daughter as she moved to speak- her word choice both inappropriate and animatingly clever within itself, so much so that I was both vaguely proud and yet mildly annoyed all at once. What would Neveah know about flowers? I am entirely sure I never taught her about such things. This- I am sure, must be Zen’s work. Women. I think I may well have managed a scowl of sorts in the direction of my previously innocent child.

“If it is flowers you seek, Neveah, perhaps you can come back to Diveen and look at the ones there, no? Any objections children, or shall we all head home, hmm?”

I think we have played this game long enough now, haven’t we?
