The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

LOST MY SOUL;

Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free; you can't take the sky from me. Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't comin' back. Burn the land and boil the sea; you can't take the sky from me. Leave the men where they lay, they'll never see another day. Lost my soul, lost my dream; you can't take the sky from me.
lost my soul
He gorged himself on her flesh, choosing the tenderest sections of her abdomen to silence the hunger that had rumbled in his stomach. With practiced, savage jaws he ravished her corpse, tearing it apart from the inside out. As he gluttonously devoured her heart, a single ear tipped forward to catch the movements of another. The snarls that had grumbled in his throat suddenly erupted into full born growls, and he did not even bother to look up at first. It was only when he did not hear the intruder’s retreating footsteps that he slowly lifted his head from his meal, still chewing the tough flesh of the doe’s heart. Vicious eyes of teal glared over the carcass, his normally white ears flecked through with the blood of his prey. His black muzzle was darkened, wet with blood and the crimson mussed the white of his cheeks. Even down his throat and onto his chest was matted with blood. Swallowing the bite he had taken, the growls that reverberated in the cave were practically a roar. This was a warning – turn, run now or maybe you won’t live to regret it. Fangs tinted with a film of red were suddenly exposed, and his tongue curled intermittently over his canines.

When the form of the white female suddenly appears behind the youth, he makes no change in his demeanor. The snarls continue to pour forth, now a warning offered to both females. This was a meal made for his size, he’d taken it down alone and he fully intended to consume it – in its entirety – alone. It is when the snowy female darts forward and attacks the first intruder that Reaver’s teal eyes come alive. Never do his growls cease, but he steps forward, placing his kill beneath him, creeping forward to enjoy the show unfolding before him.

It had been a while since he’d last taken a wolf. Since he’d come to these strange lands he’d refrained; for the most part wolves did not travel alone, and the packs here seemed of a strength that he did not care to meddle with. So he’d fed himself on deer and rabbits and other menial prey. It was the ivory shewolf’s attack that reminded him how much he missed that taste. It was enough to make him abandon his meal, opening the line to the only other exit from the cavern – a tunnel just beyond the doe’s carcass. Suddenly his tail lifts dominantly and he lunges forward, hoping to steal the precious little thing away from her. As the white one attacks from behind Reaver makes to grab her from the front. Massive jaws snap forward, hoping to close around the girl’s left foreleg and snap it clean in two with the force of his bite. To debilitate her in such a way would guarantee the meal, and then he would just need to fend off the shewolf who had reminded him what he’d really been craving for dinner.

ooc; as a note, i've already pmed ayita about this but the other tunnel/exit i mentioned is a means of escape if she wants enya to be able to escape.
