At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Go ahead, insult me again…

Halina's plan was going exactly as she had planned. After leaving Romance River after an intriguing meeting with a fae she had not expected to meet so soon, she had returned to Abendrot, where she had been accepted as a member. Its leader was everything she wanted in an Alpha, and more than anything he thought nothing of her peculiar interests when it came to sexual preferences. Her next steps in the pack would be to prove her worth - any varg could claim strength and wisdom and intelligence but it was only actions that proved worth. However, she knew too the importance of knowing the rest of Blossom Forest - a ring of spies and informers was worth an unmeasurable amount. That need to explore had been what pushed her to the falls - while it did not offer as good of a vantage point as the peak of Misty Mountain or Rainbow Cliff, she imagined it would be warmer here than atop either of those places with the coming winter. Dried leaves, newly fallen, crackled beneath her pads as her deep blue orbs searched the surround landscape, searching for the clearest and safest path up to the top of the cascade, but a foreign scent crossed her nares, causing her pause at it was clearly lupine in origin. A slow smile curled onto her lips as she released words in a purr. "Come out now, precious, I'm not one to bite. Hard."
