Whispering Shadows looked at the three, his tail wagging a little in delight. "That is very kind of you to offer, and it pains me to have to decline. Please do eat it all." He dipped his head to them, his eyes glimmering. He hoped the three wouldn't think he was rude. His mother had always taught him to take every offer given to him, but their were many cases were that did no good. These three wolves needed the food more than him anyways. Two yearlings with the need to grow, an a beautiful she-wolf who needed food more than he did.
He sat in front of them, his ears twitching. He looked at the rushing clear water, then glanced up at the sky. Slowly, the sky was turning paler and getting a red-orange tint to it. The sky was starting to get slightly darker, and the trees around them cast long shadows. He looked at Alisen, hoping she and her siblings wouldn't leave.
A sudden wave of pain washed over him. After meeting Alisen, and her siblings, he didn't want to be alone again. He remembered how much he hated being alone, and now, the thought of being alone was almost unbearable. He turned away as soon as he caught himself staring at the beautiful she-wolf, and slanted his ears back in embarrassment, his pelt hot.
