The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

She had hardly lay a paw in Iromar since Nakki had left for a second time. More often then not she seemed to lurk in the loaner lands which to be quite honest had been nice. She didn’t have any responsibilities out here; she was simply left to her fun. The past few days the grotto had been of great intrigue. It was colder than most places admittedly but navigating the difficult terrain and the labyrinths of tunnels gave her all the more mental stimulus. Still it left much to be desired; perhaps she would even find a new place to explore. Even though she had been in Moladion for some time now their was still so much left to explore. Certainly she would find interesting people to toy with along the way. Certainly if Nakki enjoyed living here their where many interesting wolfs to meet. If only she spoke of them before disappearing again…

Maeve knew lying around was not very productive certainly not here, honestly it was becoming rather sad with out Nakki to play games with her. Maybe today she would venture out to find someone much like her beloved mother. Her ears twitch when the sound of stone clanking against another is heard. Instantly golden-gray eyes begin to search the darkness. The light that seeps in is enough to illuminate a silvery figure standing not far above her. It didn’t seem as though she was meant to venture out for company this day, for it seemed to find her.

She had been silent enough she couldn’t trick the creature by playing injured but perhaps she could seek up on the creature. She was happy now that she had spent the time learning various ways to navigate the cave; still she knew she was at greater risk being seen or her shadow at least. She took a moment to weigh the risk with the reward before hugging the shadows climbing a slimmer slope in hopes to get to a tunnel that will lead to navigate herself closer to the male. Maeve knew well the dangers a stranger posed in her games but what better way could she judge them? She carefully peered out simply hoping if anything the male would haven’t noticed her and moved deeper into the darkness. ~Optional: Perhaps he ignored her or hadn’t noticed but she was behind the silver ghost now and she could hardly hide the gleam of amusement that lingered in her eyes. In an instant her lithe form sprung forward with a light growl; sharp teeth eager to pinch or graze the flesh of his loin hoping to draw some shock or invoke the creature to join her games if they realized it or not.
