The child knew so well that her sister was important. Family was important, right? Right. Cersei needed to be here with her now simply because they were family and she needed… she needed that. After so long on her own, the support was the most welcome thing in the entire world. It felt good. It felt damn good to be able to have that… that what? Comfort. Comfort was the first thing in her mind, and inside the boundaries of Glorall there was plenty of that. Everything was beautiful and nothing was supposed to hurt anymore, right? Supposedly right. Octavia was more thankful than Cersei could ever know, especially for that one thing.
There’s something a little sheepish as the girl wags her thick tail, eyes training on her sister’s paws. Octavia felt bad for leaving without a word, for disappearing one night when it felt right. When the spirit of adventure took her away. She’d been taken away on her own jaunt and had been so… so selfish about it. It was all Octavia could do not to be disgusted with herself in that moment. “I didn’t know if I’d be back either.” The momentary feeling of disgust passed, replaced by a different feeling. By a new feeling. A strong spirit of adventure rang clear in her chest, and that made all the sense in the world.
A wild giggle rips through her chest, and Octavia’s tail thrashed wildly. “There’s so much out there… there’s so much to see. I didn’t even scratch the surface, it’s not possible, it’s just so… big.” The words rush out, and she can’t control them. Shaking in her elbows and her knees, the wildness lighting up her radiant eyes from the inside out. Adventure was now Octavia’s game, her drug, even a bit of an obsession. Pure adrenaline. |
