News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Ragnarok had a lot of explaining to do. While he was going to try before Natu arrived the brute hardly had time to say more and didn’t want to with the female there. He wasn’t trying to vilify Natu, especially after the kindness she had just shown, but this was a matter between them, and he couldn’t guarantee her words wouldn’t harm the situation. He rather explain it all himself rather than have her put her own version of his duty to the world. Ragnarok hoped though she wasn’t upset. IT didn’t seem so, she entered the den looking around seemingly interested in its bounds. It was large, but again his father was quite the beast. They needed room to allow for his size even though they didn’t take up much space when they were together. No when he recalled seeing them together in his youth they were always curled up together her small size so easily fitting with his own allowing him to curl around her protectively.

His icy eyes fell upon her golden form once more mind still set on that thought. She was a little smaller than his mother, and he just an inch shorter than his father and always he wondered what it was like to share such warm and feel so connected such as that. Touching her shoulder, having her piggy back upon him those both felt so nice but to cuddle and rest as they had. He shook his head removing the thought from his mind as pleasant as it was. He told her how sorry he was but she didn’t seem bothered, her oceanic blue-green orbs falling meeting his own moving closer and closer as he tried to explain that he wasn’t trying to keep things from her until she was upon him her nose nearly touching his own just as it had in the valley. He fell silent simply looking into her orbs feeling an immense calm fall over him despite some of the inner panic that coiled around in his gut.

Her words relaxed him. She believed him and certainly didn’t blame him. She wasn’t sure where she was going to start either explained that she too has a past needing explained though he was certain it couldn’t even be a fraction as strange as his own, but one thing she made clear was she wanted to spend time with him, the had all the time in the world motioning to the curtain of what Ragnarok was sure was icy rain falling outside. They didn’t have anywhere to go and no one with this storm would hopefully come to bother them for now. She seemd unsure of what to ask him though so when she said start from the beginning he only gave a nod before touching his nose to the side over her muzzle and moving towards the back of den where he could watch the entrance sitting down and motioning for her to join him. ”It is a long… complicated story… “ He said shifting his weight slightly, ”But I will do my best to explain. It all as best I know.” He took a deep breath steeling himself before beginning.

”I was born here in this den as I said. I had my mom and dad everything was normal for me.. For the most part except my sleeping patterns. At first I thought they were nightmares. Beasts of all shapes, goats with snake tails and fangs, monsters like nothing you would ever see. My mom said I sleep like death itself, still unmoving as a child, she would bring me back to this realm often afraid the cold or something got me. I told her about these ‘dreams’ I had how real they were how I felt pain when they would grab me or anything like that. I wanted to learn to fight them off, so I started training with my father, but my family soon… vanished leaving me and my demons alone. I never felt safe, even when they were around; I learned to live without them, staying here alone for a time learning to hunt. In my dreams I started fighting them off, no long a child even if I was only two seasons of age. I thought still like my mother they were just bad dreams until one day I saw one… For real.

I was tired, worn out as any young wolf would be fending for themselves and back in those days the mountain of Spriane was near abandoned. Silent. I was hunting when I saw the beast, black as night weird strange red fur whipping off of it like big leaves in the wind, pitch black eyes, fangs and horns and it was just an awful beast. It attacked me and I fought back killing it before all went black. I woke buried in snow but in the last place I remembered. It was then I knew I was housing those beasts, in sleep I see their realm and if I grow weak… they escape. I grow tired of fighting in my dreams…. So I don’t sleep, I remain awake for days on end before fighting them once more in sleep. A vicious, never ending cycle…

After that day I left Moladion, and Spriane, I had nothing here and I wasn’t willing to endanger those with my company. As months went on I found things that were too close to me often were taken over by these demons in an attempt to leave me, their Gate Keeper. It is how I gained these scars… A bear was their unknowing victim, large fangs horns and white eyes… it was a violent disgusting beast until I killed it… Not without it parting the flesh from my shoulder and chest but it was dead and I was alive. Their closest attempt yet at stopping me from containing them. I killed innocents… I didn’t want anyone close to me… but Natu found me and stole me away back to my home of Spriane and I left as soon as I could after. Now I met you and… everything feels… different.”
He sighed looking away from his soul and too his paws.

”Not in a bad way I promise you. I feel light, happy and… alive for the first time since I was a child. These demons are in me though and… I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted nothing to do with me and I wouldn’t be able to live with myself should something happen to you. But you quell them, you are my light, I do not even feel them as I had before, something changed when our souls bound… perhaps it is that I am just no longer alone. Or you are giving me a power to which I never had. Imprinting is a powerful force I am certain with you I can quell the demons… but to do that I cannot hide from you the danger I can present…. I know it all sounds crazy but… it’s just how I am, my purpose given to me.” With that his gaze returned to her sad and perhaps a bit of fear etched there. Never had he shared so much of himself with any other, but then again Church was his soul, he shared with her what he could share with no one else to begin with. Now he could only wait and see where her judgement would be upon him and his broken mind.
