Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Summer thought that life would be different once he became alpha, but really nothing had changed. Something inside him had changed, he felt…different. He didn’t know how to describe it exactly but something in him was very different. He no longer was just a member apart of a pack, he was in charge of the pack, in charge of every lupine within these lands. He was in charge of their safety and protection and in charge of making sure nothing bad happened to any of them. To some it would be a lot of pressure, too much pressure even, but not to him. To Summer it felt right, like he was meant to lead rather than be led. He had been raised to be a leader and it felt like he was finally where he belonged. His only concern was that he did not know what the other lupines in his pack felt. Did they trust him enough to be their leader, did they even like him enough to stay in the pack or would they all leave? It was something that genuinely concerned him and he didn’t know what he could about it. Really he knew that there was nothing he could do about it. He could only do his best and hope that the others in his pack would accept him as their new leader and stick by him, just as everyone had stuck by Darcia when he came to the pack.

Confusion and worry swam through his mind, so he decided to go for a walk around the pack, see if he ran into anyone from his pack. The phrase still felt weird, even to just think them, that this was his pack. A small smile came across his features at the thought and he pushed out of his den, into the sunlight. He stretched for a moment before trotting towards the borders. He knew that his scent was strong on the border, he had go along it many times since Darcia had told him that he would be taking over as alpha, but it felt natural to do border patrols, it calmed him and helped him relax. The smoky brute fell into an easy routine, circling around the territory that he was now in charge of, letting his thoughts wander away from the worries and he fears of leading a pack.

As the brute wandered around the pack his thoughts drifted to his packmates, wondering what his relationship with them all would be like now. Misty, one of the first femmes that he had met when he came to Bright Moon. He remembered when the two of them were sent to another pack to set up alliances, could he now send her out with someone else to do the same for him, as they had done for Darcia? Cora, the femme he had recently brought to join Bright Moon, wondering if Darcia would accept her. Well now it was up to Summer and she already knew that he had accepted her into the pack. He wondered what their relationship would be like now that he was an alpha of the pack. He wondered if Iason would stay around now that Darcia was gone or if the brute would stay in the pack. He knew that Darcia had Iason as his beta and he did not know who would hold what ranks now. He would need to wait until the end of the pack meeting he was going to call to see who would come. And then there was Scion and Iso, lupines he had had very little interactions with. And others who he had only seen at pack meetings, Danger and Elora and others that could be around. He wondered how many of them were still loyal to the pack and would come to his call.

The smoky brute was planning on calling a pack meeting soon and turned his bodice in the direction of one of the clearings that he remembered Darcia using to call meetings to. He knew it was a large clearing with plenty of space for everyone to gather, he just hoped that the lupines in the pack would come to his call. He was distracted when the scent of a stranger reached his nares. He paused his stride, wondering why the scent was so strong when he was in Bright Moon’s territory, had someone wandered into his pack. He instinctually stiffened, fur standing on end, ready to fight if someone had made their way into his pack to cause trouble. Why else would a stranger come into his very clearly marked borders? The brute knew that some alphas would react with aggression and anger, but he calmed himself down before headings towards the scent of the stranger, knowing that there could be a perfectly good reason for someone to wander in. There was not much that could upset the easy going brute, but the stranger in his territory did put him on his guard.

It did not take Summer long to find the white form of an ess on the ground, who seemed to be trying to make herself as flat to the ground as possible. Panic was clear on her features and the scent of panic and pain was tangible in the air. The brute slowed his pace, wondering if she had hurt herself and he did not want to frighten her. Any thoughts of being threatening or mean to the trespasser was out of his mind once he realized that she was injured. The brute purposefully stepped on leaves and twigs, making noise to alert her of his presence, speaking so she knew he meant her no harm. ”Miss? Are you hurt? Don’t worry, no one will hurt you here.” He paused a few feet away from her, waiting to see if she would react to him before approaching closer, wanting to see how badly she was hurt. When he was closer to the frightened femme he spoke softly, ”My name’s Summer, alpha of these lands. I’ll make sure you are okay, don’t worry. What’s your name? What happened?” He made sure to approach her slowly and spoke gently to the frightened girl, not wanting to startle her and make her injure herself further, hoping that she would let him look her over and help her.

OOC: I decided to do this post pre-pack meeting (even though it hasn’t gone anywhere…) so that way if Amalthea wants to join in the meeting she can!
