The night was approaching, the sun casting it's last glowing rays over the hills of Asteraia. In the days of his father's absence, nothing much had changed for the white pup, except for the distinct lack of warmth in the den that he now only shared with his mother and sisters. Viserys sat upon a hill a little ways away from his den, his teal eyes watching as the stars put the sun to bed. His black-rimmed ears gave a small flick as he continued to watch the sun set, his gaze surprisingly intent and collected for one so young. The air was already growing colder, and he knew that the temperature would only decline with time, and his thinner coat only exacerbated that.
There were no clouds to watch tonight. The sky was brilliant and free of any blemish, and though Vis appreciated the view, there was something unsettling about such a huge sky without clouds to break it up. He missed their presence, whenever they weren't there- he knew they weren't alive, but the pup felt connected to the distant forms all the same.
Nonetheless, Viserys remained happy and carefree as a pup should, the only worries to cross his mind was the occasional failure of his hindquarters. He glanced back at his rump for a moment, tilting his head slightly. There was really no warning for when he would feel weakness in his hind legs and tail, but when it came he just had to deal with it. He didn't really view it as a handicap- at least, not yet. Perhaps as he grew older it would become more frustrating, but for the moment it was simply a minor inconvenience.
Now that his father was absent, Viserys wondered if him and Aurai would get to go to the feast like they had planned. Would Rhae take them? He thought that maybe she would have to stay home to take care of the pack... but secretly, he was excited for the feast in Taviora, maybe even as much as his adopted sister.
Viserys rose to his paws, stretching out his slender body before turning around and trotting down the hill. His blue eyes fell upon the form of his other sister, Isolde, who he wasn't as close with as Aurai, but loved all the same. She looked lost in thought and he found himself wondering what she was thinking about. Their father, maybe? Despite their mother's repeated comforts, they were all worried about the lack of Iblis.
"Hey, 'Solde." he said in his quiet, curious way of speaking, his tail giving a small wag. "Whatcha up to?"
