Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

A man unwilling to fight for what he wants, deserves what he gets.

I've never had a soul, nor a significant other, all together no one was there to tame or slow me down. Of course I had my eyes on a few, but taking advantage of a lady's company was something I've never been too fond of. I've remained a loner a great majority of my life, of course there were a few offers, but I had no choice but to turn them down. Many times have I been told that I can fulfill a great roll in a pack, and thought myself better left alone. Besides, neither of the said past offers seemed to suit my being.

I take in the form of the other brute before me, his expression still bright and friendly, and I of course return the same demeanor. But if this male isn't looking for a fight, what other reason did he have to stop and say his hello? There are only so many answers that could possibly fit the question, but I have my mind set on one option. I assume it's for a great reason, and if it is the one option I suppose it is, I should start thinking of how I should answer. I'm not in such a big rush, so I ponder until he replies with such insane reply.

"What? No wait, you took that in... Surely this is just a misunderstanding, I do greatly apologize, but it is in my nature to call another lad 'mate'. It is in my language of course. The meaning behind it regards that the other is... Well, a friend. Of course there are many other meanings for mate.... I'll just call you lad, unless I may have your name?"

Surely enough, after the lad had spoken of his reasoning as to why he stopped to speak with me. I smile in a polite gesture, my banner slightly waving against the dry grass that lay upon the bank. It is good to meet others, but only sometimes. You have to be careful with you run into these days, but the pack male is no bother to me at all. But, as I was saying, he gives a name. Coza for short, and a bit easier to remember. I bow my head slightly, in an elegant gesture, and habit might I add.

"I am dubbed Nakoda, Koda for short if you wish. I do not prefer one specifically, to me it is just a title I was born to." I smile softly at the lad, bringing my head back up to meet his gaze once more. It the lad is in search of a friend, I'll be more than happy to be one for him, seeming as he is no harm to me.
