He was right about what was going on here, the reassuring nod from Natu the only confirmation he needed. The white she-wolf had obviously been around for quite some time and her motherly approach to both of them immediately endeared him to her though they had only just met. He noted the way Haven pressed in to her though she too had only just met the woman as well. A smile barely flitted across his dark muzzle, happy at least that she had someone to rely on during what was obviously such a tumultuous time. Though he longed to look into her ice blue eyes and search for acceptance or at least some form of tolerance to his presence he couldn’t bring himself to push on her any further. She was obviously thrown off by the entire situation, and while he would never wish to choose another the entire situation sat oddly in himself as well. Why didn’t he get a choice in this? Surely there should have been some question of acceptance on his end just as she struggled, but perhaps that was the curse of the male, to be bound to whomever the fates chose without his own input. Either way he would do as she wished.

His breath almost stalls in his chest as that his loaded offer hangs in the air, the tension between himself and the pair thick enough that fangs could slice through it. He fears her rejection yet dares to barely hope that she might change her opinion of him. His two toned eyes flick up suddenly, the deeper voice which responded not Haven’s but instead Natu’s causing surprise to spark there. He had not expected her to intervene in the decision much less recommend that she allow him to stay. Hope sprung in his chest that Haven might take the more seasoned wolf’s recommendation and he finally allowed his gaze to seek out hers, waiting for the jury to return their verdict.

Finally her light voice broke the silence that had been hanging so heavily and a wild grin broke out over his slender face, but they were lucky that was all that happened. He actively fought the urge to dance around, barking with joy as he was more prone to doing and managed to simply allow his wag to pick up a rather furious rhythm behind him to accompany that smile. He managed to focus on her next words though they only made the excitement balling in his chest grow.

Swallowing his energy he nodded at her offer, the joy in his eyes and smile on his face the only indications of how excited he was that she would not be sending him on his way. Friendship is all he wanted from the woman who apparently possessed the other half of his soul, that and to see her happy once more as she had been before he came crashing into her life. Nothing else mattered. “I would like that very much, any of it…All of it!” he said, the smile on his face echoing in his voice and with the now gently wagging of his dark tail. Stepping back on his light feet he let the space between them open up a bit, “Lead the way!” He would follow wherever she took him to do one or all of the things she had listed. All he had wanted was to explore the lands of the mountains and he had no doubt she would be an excellent guide.
