Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

This is so strange. It is like she can feel his disappointment and frustration inside of her own body. It makes the fur on the back of her neck stand to attention and her pupils to dilate in wonder even while she tries to visibly shake off the feelings. Honestly the boy below was confusing. One minute he was cajoling and attempting to woo her down off the rock with promises of helping her (which she so easily fell for) and the next he was shooting daggers from his eyes. Is it really a wonder that Fjallraven fears for her life with him? Then again if she feared that deeply she would remain perched on her rock and safely away from him - in her own eyes.

If it wasn't for her injured paw this whole thing would go off so much smoother. She was annoyed at herself for forgetting it in the first place and each step seemed to cause her to wince. No matter how light she was it would on aggravate the sprain further by continuing to walk but walk she would. She WOULD come home with a full belly and an acceptable tale to tell her friends. She would walk to them with pride. Though if she caught something this time she couldn't cry when she killed it and she couldn't make herself feel less guilty by saying it was already hurt like Jericho had. The idea makes her pause and she feels a sense of dread. She almost wants to back out of it now because how could she kill something this time? She remembered the sadness she felt ending the life of the raccoon, the fear in it's beady eyes, and she feels choked.

His words stop any thought of retreating from her head though. The way he arches a brow and tells her she should probably stay off it has something flaring in her chest that she has not felt before. A warm that felt like indignation. She wants to glare at him but she doesn't really know how so instead she looks.. odd, with her ears pricked forward and eyes narrowed and lips scrunched up. She almost looks as if she is in pain. "I can't. You don't understand, I got to catch something." Besides, even if she did kind of fear this grumpy male she also did not like him telling her what to do. Only Jericho, Reich, and her mother ever had that option, even if her mother had made it a point by physical violence and intimidation.

A mongoose he says? Well, that solves the problem of it being such a large rat. Whatever he wanted to do to show it who was boss he could do himself, she thinks, because she didn't want that thing's teeth in her. She might contract rabies, a serious threat to Fjallraven's world. Her golden eyes look at his sudden face of displeasure and he berates her before beginning to walk only Fjallraven isn't following now but standing there with that ridiculous expression - scrunched up nose and narrowed eyes - and refusing to budge. "You would not! I was up there!" Her sweet voice has risen now in denial. As if he could not have jumped up and hurt her. "And I didn't crawl. I walked." Now she huffed as if the argument was finally won and strode past him - at a safe distance of course and with a wary eye - to begin her hunting anew.
