Abandonment was never a pretty thing and Naamah surely made it to where the poor child's mind was fucked for all of eternity. Trust issues - check. Daddy issues - check. Why not knock them all out in one go?
She is pathetic, honestly, but young and so it is acceptable to be so hurt over something such as this. She curls herself into the tightest, tiniest ball of fur amidst the moss and dried leaves that once smelled so familiar. It was quite foolish of her to announce her presence with a whimper of sorts for she knows of which dangers lurk in the cavernous abode. Perhaps she just didn't care for her fate.
Sanguine was alone, cold, and had no one to care for her any longer. What else were she to do other than tuck her tail and die a slow, lonely death in the skeletal remains of her once relatively happy home?
Hope was all but lost and the downpour of rain outside of the grotto brought the slightest bit of peace to her aching soul until a voice so eerily familiar breaks through the sound of pounding water and thunderous noise outside. The slight tapping of claws approaching a few steps closer pulls her head up from her position with ears erect as she peers through the growing darkness.
Her skull tips to the side in curiousity and sudden realization dawns upon her as her eyes light up.
"Daddy! It is squealed and she is instantaneously jumping to her dainty paws and dashing toward him eagerly whether he expects its, wants it, or not. She quickly wraps herself around him, wiggling between his forelegs and rubbing her head up under his chest affectionately.
"She told me to find you but I didn't think you were even here any more.." It is spoken with a saddened tone as she looks up to him with large, misty eyes.
"Why did she leave us?
