Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

i'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife.

It had taken some time for her to work up the courage to tell Ragnarok she was returning to Asteraia. It would be so easy to keep them both tucked away into their separate corners of Moladion, traipsing back and forth between Spirane and Asteraia until she managed to make a choice and neither her heart nor soul had to be the wiser. She had actually considered it for some time, always coming back to the same decision that she couldn’t bear to play them like that. They deserved so much better, no matter how much it might hurt her and them in the end. She also knew that Ragnarok would want to come with her if she left the mountains and if he met Neirin without her telling him it would all come to light anyway. Still she had stalled before going to tell her moon she was going, and as expected he immediately offered to come with her. She tried to smile, happy for his company, but no doubt he could feel her anxiety it came with the territory she was discovering.

They trekked across the various regions in near silence, not awkward but the comfortable silence that can be shared between two close beings. She chewed her lip as they went, thinking far too much on what she was about to do and the repercussions that would no doubt come back. Ragnarok had sworn to be with her always, but would he hold firm to such a promise when she tested the strength of his heart so soon. She pulled to a stop finally as they neared the northeast border of the woodlands where it almost turned into Asteraia’s territory.

Standing before him her aquamarine eyes searched his ice blue ones, silently pleading for an understanding even though she had yet to say a word about it. No doubt he was confused and probably more than a bit concerned, but she needed to make sure she explained everything to him. “There’s something I need to tell you,” she started quietly, her words quivering with concern and even a twinge of fear that the unknown always brought to things. She took a deep breath before exhaling it slowly, watching as it turned to white mist before dissipating before shakily starting again. “A few days before I met you, my first days in Moladion, I ran into another wolf. He is one of the brothers I mentioned before who lives in Asteraia. We hit it off quite well, he made me happy and for once in my life made me consider staying in one place more than just a few nights.” She sighed once more, dreading the words that she had to say next and knowing that after this their relationship would hang on the edge of a knife with Ragnarok left to decide his part in the outcome.

“I agreed to stay with him and his sub pack which lives on the borders of Asteraia in agreement with the alpha Iblis, but more than that… I agreed to be his mate that night. It may have been a rash decision, but it was the first time I had ever felt for another that way, the possibility of a future and so much more…” She trailed off, shaking her slender head slightly as tears threated at the corners of her blue green eyes. The words came out faster now, almost jumbling together as they fell, “Then I met you, and… and everything has become that much more complicate. You’re the part of my soul I never knew was missing but you’ve clicked into every part of me. I…I have some decisions to make, and I have no right to ask that you wait while I do…but I would ask that of you.” She finished, closing her eyes as a few tears finally escaped. It took a few moment and shaky breaths before she was able to look him in the eyes again, daring to hope about what she would find there.
