There was a sense of something.. new within the girl. As if the terror of her attack had been eclipsed by the ever present company of Delya and her newly awarded rank within the meadow pack. It were as if all of her stars had finally fallen into place and all she had to do was simply follow the path.
If only it were just that easy.
An even stranger feeling had begun to swell within her being as the winter eased onward and she knew after the third week that her rendezvous with the tri-colored male had, in fact, come to fruition. There were very small, slowly developing beings that now shared her space and whether or not this was something she had planned for they were going to come into this world soon enough. She had been denying the feelings of regret and anxiety up until this point but this was to be her first season whelping and by no more than a complete stranger at that. Ross had certainly been the kind of gentleman she needed to glean comfort from in her lowest of hours but that did not mean she was entirely prepared for the consequences of her thoughtless action.
That just looked profoundly well to Delya, she was sure, to lay with the first stranger who cared to comfort her in the midst of her insecurities and sorrows. The thought bothered her far more than the fact that she was going to be having a litter come spring since there have been budding affections for the plains runner. Her kindly shadow.
It was through the beta's own compassion and soft hearted approach that Fallacy had slowly begun to open back up to the world outside of Asteraia. She couldn't have been reclusive for the rest of her life, after all, no matter how terrifying it was to take her first steps back out into Moladion's wilds. Every sound, shadow, breath of wind was alarming to the shellshocked girl but she had eventually been able to venture further and further from the pack as she became more confident and her wounds had healed further.
It wasn't very often that she really cared to escape the border of the pack, though, and especially since she had been appointed her new position. She was eager to begin training with the alphas' daughter and wished to speak with Iblis since his return to the plains. And so she set off at an easy jog from her hillside den and into the expanse of territory, letting the midday sun seep into her fur to warm her as a chilled breeze dared to break through the barrier. Her delicate skull lifted as she slowed to a walk and a call was let loose for the alpha male, beautiful and short as it crescendoed and fell silent once again.
