The young colt stood quietly next to his mother as the two mares exchanged words. Being young, he really didn’t know what this was all about nor did he really care. He just wanted some sort of attention which he hasn’t gotten from either of them. He lowered his head, looking sad and somewhat pitiful with the rejection he had gotten from both mother and the new one who had remained nameless in his mind.

The words seemed to not be what the mare wanted to hear. He raised his head, pricked his ears as he watched her walk away. He glanced at his mother but she had already lowered her head and began walking away in another direction. He felt torn on who he wanted to follow. He knew mother didn’t want him around so the choice became easy in that moment. He took off trotting towards the new mare. He didn’t say anything or really do much, he just quietly followed her.
He had taken a moment to glance back though and saw his mother walking down the mountain side. Alibi had watched as he followed Skylar. She knew Skylar would watch him, it was the mother instinct in that mare, she knew she wouldn’t resist it. With that Alibi disappeared down the side of the mountain.
