Two options, and Bane would have liked to take them both. One at a time, one step at a time, walking before you ran and all that. It would make sense in time, and he would learn more from this woman as he had more time. It was a good relationship to have with someone else. Maybe it was the transfer of emotions, seeing as he’d been aching for his mother lately. Always his mother’s son, and with her gone… it was hard. It would be hard until the day he died himself, and yet here he was. Making the best of it. Making her proud. That was all he could do now, make her proud. It made sense in Bane’s head, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t hard.

She asks about his experience with bleeding—Bane was a climber, he was used to skinning this appendage and that on a rock. Sure, this was different but… how different could it be in the long run. Very, but, you know. “I mean, usually I just put pressure on it and then clean wherever was actually open once the bleeding is done.” Seemed logical enough in his head, but there was the idea that… well… there would be women bleeding from… shit. The look on his face was something of confusion and… maybe a little discomfort.

Bane was thankful for Niviaq’s gentle frankness. He tries his best to straighten his shoulders and nod along, but there’s something that’s a little… faltering. “If it’s a matter of keeping her safe… and um, if she’s okay with me um… yeah.” His ears flatten sheepishly to his skull, stretching his neck awkwardly simply so he doesn’t have to make direct eye contact. Saving someone was what mattered, and if that’s what it took then… then he’d do it. He’d do it without thinking twice, eventually. It would take time but he meant it.
