Thundering water was all Espilon could hear, as the brown and white wolf padded through the forest. His ears twitched as the peaceful sounds of the forest was disturbed as he drew closer to a river. Soon the trees began to thin out, and the grass became tougher. He watched as the once soft, leafy, forest floor turned into cool stone, shaded by the large trees.
Pale blue flowing water came into sight as he padded closer, the bright sunlight shining down on the water. A smooth rock, that sloped down into the river, not even cutting off where the river's width ended. He watched the water rush by, the sound of the thundering river filling his white ears. They twitched, uncomfortable with all the sounds being blocked out. He turned his dark brown and white patched body away to head back into the forest, when he spotted a shape laying upon a large, bulky, boulder.
Curiously, he trotted over. Not wanting to disturb the other wolf, but wanting to quietly catch it's attention, he trotted swiftly past, his black claws clicking softly against the rocks. He trotted close enough for the river to not drown out the sound, and he hoped his scent would catch the wolf's attention as well. Glancing back, he could tell by the wolf's features that it was a she-wolf.
He turned around, and looked at the water, then the black she-wolf, then the forest, before turning back to the water. He watched as the light caught a fish, as the silver gleam leaped out of the water, and disappeared into the fast moving current. Espilon's belly rumbled at the thought of food, and although he had never eaten fish before, it was always time to try something new.
He crouched at the water's edge, wondering if he should find a quieter spot to fish. He snorted as he decided it would be best to fish at a quieter part of the river, or perhaps even the lake. Replies:
