show me where forever dies
Darkness. There is no life that flashes before her eyes, even though she knows death is but a step away. The pain is gone - leaving her to feel empty, void of everything she knows. It is unsettling. Was this a dream? Something is missing. She can feel it but her mind is not allowing her to grasp it. She had been in so much pain, still now she can taste the blood that once saturated the air but due to the darkness she can see nothing of what wound she has obtained. It is as if she is floating in still waters, yet no matter which way she goes she never really goes anywhere. Thump. A sound breeches the silence. Thump. Thump. Fur of blood. Thump. Voices filtering in yet are muffled and unknown. The waters she idles upon soon begin to churn as her legs try to keep her above. Thump. Children. That single word that screams so heavily in her mind seems to shift everything.
As she is submerged in those dark waters, the current knocking her around as if threatening to tear her limb from limb. Pain, so much. Cold. Tired. The first sense that returns is scent as she inhales a rush of air sending the pain to shock her. There is a twitch to her ear, so small it is as if the wind had just shifted it. As she tries to focus on the sounds around her. Children, yet again that word. Her eyelids are so heavy despite no matter how hard she tries to open them. And it all seems to hit her like a solid punch to her chest. Ifrit. Their children. An unknown. Delya? It is her friends words that mention her children that causes her heart to swell - her children. They need her. A strange voice commands her to come back, to care for them. Can they not see she is trying? Perhaps it is her fear, or maybe it just the fact she knows nothing of this stranger that finally causes movement. A quiver begins to her lips, the start of a snarl at the fact someone is so near to her newborns. She is vulnerable which in turns makes her children even more so. Why was Ifrit allowing this male so close to them, damn giant. She would fix this. As a rush of fading strength engulfs her cold limbs and aching body. As her lids are torn open, blurred and shadowed as a growl begins. Her neck strains, the muscles protesting at the use as her heart pounds like a damn drum in her chest. Slow, ever so slow as her head turns, orange eyes fixating on a dark from that is so near to her. Jaws attempt to split as if she intends to harm him even in her state but the most she can do is face him with an open mouth. The paleness of her gums making her teeth seem less threatening. As the strain of her movement causes her body to tremble at the need to hold this position, but she fails and her head crashes to the soil. Jaws still gaping as her quick breaths stir the soil beneath her head. A low and ever so dying growl lingering in her throat, as she blinks trying to clear her sight so that she may see this male but it is all in vain.
Her mind is screaming, raging in her head as she fights her own body. She is not weak. How dare her body fail after so many years of abuse? Surviving her own personal hell to be know thrown off by birthing? No. This will not be her end.
"Help..." The word is slurred and is mixed in the weak growl, it is almost unheard. A deep breath that causes her chest to expand and her belly to rise like a wave as the pain floors her. Once again battling the darkness that threatens to take her yet again. For it is their scents, their wiggling bodies against her, their whimpers. All of this is what forces her to fight this downhill battle as for the first time in her life she asks to be saved.
"...me." The vulnerability in that word is bitter to swallow, for she has never asked anyone such a thing as this. Ifrit had been her purge, allowing him control on how far she pushed him before he snapped. But this, this was asking for mercy. Asking for someone, anyone to make it all go away. Failure was not an option, she would fight tooth and nail to remain conscious for them and for this male that now seems to appear more of a angel than a reaper. Hoping now that, Delya or Ifrit was caring for the pups in her wait. Though knowing Ifrit he would likely stir things up further with so many so close to what is his. Damn giant, if he dared cause a scene now she will have his throat. As a timid grin just at that thought seems to curve her lips. Blinking blindly, as time seems to stop in this moment. Holding her breath to see just how far she needed to go to save them by saving herself.
take the fall and run to heaven
