Kershov, for the most part, remained silent, offering for the occasional commentary, but overall show pleasure in how Halina had handled the situation, perhaps even slightly surprised at the control she had shown. Afterall, she had merely smacked his head against a rock until he fainted into oblivion. It was not a fatal wound, nor had it permanently maimed him. Though he had attacked her, Halina had decided that the brute's future would lay in Kershov's paws, be it punishment, servitude, torture, slavery, or death. And, looking at the Ice King, she saw that the intruder had already been found guilty and Kershov was merely thinking up his sentence. He was enraged, hackles raised, no doubt at the thought of tearing this one apart. Halina, calming down now that the situation was under control, occasionally sent her azures to her limb, wondering why the tingling remained... until she realized just who this brute was and with a shocked horror understood the severity of what had occurred. Though she had yelled out a warning to her Lord, the demon at their feet had clearly been preparing for this moment and had prepared well for it and managed to break Kershov's skin. The reflex was immediately as the king's other limb slammed Draven back into the earth, his cranium slamming into another rock, knocking him unconscious.
A look she never thought to paint the Alpha's facade became swiftly apparent, and though he growled in rage... it was concern and fear that held triumphant. Halina, answer me quickly. How do you really feel? Her eyes widened as her fear was confirmed and she growled at her stupidity. She had brought this poison into the lands she had sworn to protect. Her fealty was only newly spoken and already she had brought danger and harm to her Alpha. Averting her gaze, she took a deep breath to calm herself in order to properly assess her bodily functions. Her heart was racing... but even after a few deep breaths it would not slow. Her limb where she was injured no longer was a dull pain... there was a stark numbness and she realized that a sharper pain was entering in as if a thorn bush had been rubbed into the already tender area. Hesitantly she glanced down and inhaled sharply, seeing her limb begin to tremble... and not from the adrenaline that was rushing through her veins.
Quickly. I need to know what to say if... Previously, shock had held her tongue. Her father had taught her how to deal with physical threats, and always did she feel readied for any foe that stood before her. But this was a foe she could not fight with her talents. The poison sweeping through her scared her more than anything she had ever faced before. However, the command from Kershov finally loosened her tongue enough to utter simple words, but even as she spoke she found that she was loosing control of her tongue. How stupid she had been to lick her wound clean... "Fast heart beat... nausea... numbness... but then a sharp pain." Grimacing, the pain began to come in throbs and she stopped briefly, just in time for Draven to awaken again.
So you have discovered my little gift, have you, witch? I hope you enjoy it. It will be a long, slow pain... He chuckled darkly as Halina glared at him. "I know this brute. His name is Draven. He was one of the tormentors from my childhood who I... "repaid in full"." She yelped quietly, closing her eyes to try to block some of the pain. How had he found her?
