There was nothing more delightful than playtime with her brothers and her mother. Except when daddy joined in of course. She adored crawling all over his black body and pulling on his ears with her small teeth. It was frustrating at times when she tries to milk from her mother or gnaw on things because her lower jaw seemed just a bit out of alignment and when she slept two bottom teeth poked out from her dark lips, just the bare white tips. Natu had worn her out earlier and she slumbered now, rolling onto her back and paws splayed up and curled in. It was an adorable position, her mouth ajar and tongue lolling out the side of her mouth. She dreamed of chewing on Alexander's tail and she made a growling sort of mewl as she abruptly rolled over and shot awake.
Gray-blue eyes, so light as to flash both colors, shoot around the den to spy her mother disappearing outside. She didn't just move though - she was RUNNING. Which meant something big was going on because mother never left them. Not yet anyways. She glances around in a daze for a few moments before she pushes herself up, shakes her tiny body, and creeps out of the den with her ears pressed back. No one stopped her. No one shouted at her to stay.
With more bravery she follows after her mother, peeking out of the den to spy her mother chatting with a wolf that looked almost identical to her mom. If Ailith wasn't so much bigger she might have mistaken her for Natu but even so, she is a bit surprised by the similarity. Eager to use this moment of distraction as a bid for freedom from the confined den she trots up to her mother, looking up, up, up, at Ailith and seating herself between the forepaws of her mother.
"Why do you look like my mom?" She interrupts the conversation with her self-assured voice, tilting her head to the side and narrowing her eyes in a clearly befuddled manner. "I'm Ankh." She felt her mother lean down and brush her nose against the top of her head and her little tail began to wag, thrilled that she wasn't be chastised for wandering out of the den. "Do you like to play?" There is a breathless quality to her voice now as she realizes that Ailith might indeed play with her and might be a good excuse to stay in the outside for a while.
