Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

do you miss the blend of colours she left in your black and white field?

Of course she wanted to rub it in; she wanted to puff her chest out and tell her brothers about how fun it would be. Obviously, she assumed they knew it would be fun and thus, she needn't have to rub it in but still. She had been so very excited after her mother had requested just she and her going on an adventure - to add to the excitement, they were going somewhere special! She hadn't yet had the chance to explore the lands beyond Diveen, though she had an eagerness to do so. She just could not help but think about what other strange places lay beyond the border markings when somewhere like Diveen had so many strange things in itself. So, today was special. It always would be special, she imagined, as they took off from the den, with one final nip at her father's ear. She already couldn't wait to come back and tell them all about it!

She had no issue keeping up with her mother initially, bounding along beside her with a bouncing tail and stout little strides. She had a natural grace already, her slender body seeming to glide over the terrain just like her mother's did. She'd never even considered that her mother had been worrying; each time she looked up, she only saw the radiant idol that she was to her daughter. They were one in the same and when Nineveh felt strange and out of place among her brothers, she remembered how her mother glistened and shined in the sun.

Eventually, she had tired ever so slightly, her tongue lolling out in the spring warmth as she meandered by her mother's side. As they broke into the fields, she perked up however, her ears rising up as she attempted to look over the grass (to no avail, of course.) The scents! There were so many strange new sights and smells, though she still heard the familiar murmurs of the wind which gave her a small comfort. Though she was uncertain, she was not afraid. After all, her mother was only inches away from her - to be sure, she glanced up as she spoke, grinning faintly and pressing against her mother's flank.

"I like being with you, mother," she chortled, her tail waving cheerfully as she leaped up, nipping her mother ever so playfully before she wriggled into a play bow of sorts, her lips turned up into a mischievous grin. "I do like the sound of being special though!"

She bounded forward several strides in front of her mother before pivoting, her rump in the air as she let out a puppy growl. She had no idea what adventure they would be embarking on but she did know one thing: she wanted to outshine them all! She wanted the sun to illuminate her like it did with her mother, and most of all, she wanted others to look at her in a crowd of hundreds. Special was an understatement - she wanted to be unique. So, she only had one question for her mother:

"Where do I start? To become a night angel!"
