There is nothing so bad as feeling rejected, feeling inadequate. I spent my entire childhood being severely bullied and oppressed so that I sank into a depression so deep I too tried to take my own life. Only after I found God-truly-did my life take a turn for the better. But that is another story for its own time. For now, I have to say that there is a huge stigma attached to both psychiatrists and psychologists. In my time I have found them extremely helpful. I was diagnosed with overanxiety and medicated so that I was able to cope with my life, and the psychologist provided me with tools to get over my self-worth and stress-related issues. Some people also view it as a coward's way to go, but I can assure you that it took all my strength to visit them and I never once regretted it. I am sorry that somebody has treated you so dispicably that you feel worthless. I promise you that your life is both glorious and meaningful to many people. If people who don't even know you, who have never met you care enough about you to be a support group, imagine how many people in your life you have touched in extraordinary ways? Your daughter needs you, people you have yet to meet need you, and you have a destiny as beautiful as every person here. You cannot base your worth on the actions of one individual, especially one who is as troubled as your ex.

God himself says: Matthew 10:29-31 New International Version (NIV)

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father�s care.[a] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don�t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Even if you do not believe, know that to many people you are worth more than all the birds of the air and beasts on the earth. So Cake, you will have my thoughts and prayers, for a renewal of your strength and a healthy self-love.
