fifteen - Fenrir's heart - Heyel's soul
sister of warlow
dam of sven *adopted*, arthfael, alistair, alexander, and ankh,
There is a numbness that comes over people after tragic events. Numbness and sorrow - the absence of feeling and then the overload of sensation. Natu finds a few tears meandering down the path of her alabaster face, her pale eyes seeming even more so, almost the white that matches her sons. Then she blinks away the sensation of sorrow as she turns her attention back to the children. There is much here to be done. Fenrir has already begun the process, dragging his dead brother to his den for later internment, and then butchering the bear for it's pelt and head. She ushers the children out of the den that has now become crowded by the healers and their charges. For now she will be the focal point of the children, the one to make sure they are all kept away from the extreme aftermath for a bit, and as she plots such things her mate arrives once more. And she can see it, the dullness to his pale eyes, the tiredness that drags his feet ever so slightly. The sorrow that tries to peek out from the numbness.
Halo moves towards Fenrir, snuffling at his feet, and she watches the young pup for a moment. Children were innocent. Some were sweet and some were frustrating - non-intentional, of course, but by nature. Halo was a sweet tempered child and she hoped that being surrounded by the bouncing spirits of the pups that Fenrir would find some relief, along with the lavender to help sooth him. Arthfael shoots past her quite suddenly to race ahead, stopping and looking back, and she smiles softly in his direction. He was a curious lad and Natu was always eager to answer his questions, to teach what she knew. She would let Fenrir answer him, however, as she steps away from the children for a moment to move towards Church. If the female lets her, Natu will press her muzzle against the others briefly, for she had enjoyed Church's company for the brief time in Spirane. "Welcome, Church. I am sorry you had to witness that," she mentions softly, glancing down at the children of Church and brightening. "Look at them!" She can't help the way her heart glows at the sight, Church's children and she glances up at Ragnarok with a wicked sort of grin, always enjoying a bit of sport with the male. "Who needs demons now, Ragnarok, when you have plenty of them to keep you occupied?"
With that said she turns back to the somber setting, noting as Belle moves closer to Fenrir with curiosity and Alistair joins them. Maybe inwardly the children know, she wonders. Maybe they know just how much of a distraction he needs right now. She moves closer to Fenrir, her nose touching his shoulder gently in a caress as she leans down and nudges young Halo, Belle, and her son towards where Arthfael was standing. "Come young ones, we will all go and play in the lavender fields," and for the benefit of Halo and Alistair she jerks her muzzle in the direction needed.
