The female certainly was bold, Sinclair thought as he watched her lavender eyes. He could see her resolve, her desire to learn the art of battle against those that might do wrong to the word. Sinclair knew that feeling, he learned for a similar purpose as she, to protect those she cared about. Unlike many he first taught though she came with knowledge of herself. She was not like Judas, he thought he was strong and powerful, able to take hits by muffling them with his fur. It was a trait of the angels to have thick wild fur like what Sinclair had. Course it didn’t mitigate all damage but it certainly could be a barrier to some. He was small, meant for speed not power. He learned a hard lesson on the battle field that day, one that Sin figured he carried as a heavy weight as he once again seemed to vanish from the lands. She was armed with the knowledge though, she was small, built for speed and that came with its own merits.
He did not dismiss those that had the advantage of speed at the cost of strength. Sinclair was hardly fast on his paws, built as a wall, strong and sturdy with thick muscle all over him quite the opposite of the girl before him. His brother, Ryker, was also quite the opposite, quick on his paws and able to dance around Sin with ease, though once Sin had a wolf like that unable to run, the game was over. It was annoying how they darted in nipping and biting at him until he got the chance to disable a leg or two. Amir was like that as well, he didn’t seem to understand that not everyone was blessed with speed but Sinclair did and he figured he could indeed help the girl who had come to him.
”It certainly is an advantage in the right situations, Reian, should it be utilized correctly even those of light frame can be good in battle.” He replied with a nod to her a soft smile creeping onto his maw and black tipped tail giving a quick wave. He was happy she knew this going into training, or else like his last student, she might be met with regret. He would have to see though she may expect too much of herself the first day. Training was training after all and Sinclair was more than happy to play as her test dummy until she found her battle rhythm. When she gave her reasons for wanting to learn such things though his face fell slightly ears tipping back for a moment before standing back up to give her his full attention.
”I am sorry for your loss.” Was all he could manage, though really he had lost all of his direct family at one point or another it wasn’t guaranteed that they were dead. His mother had been gone for nearly his whole life and Ryker likewise was missing until recently. There was no promise that they were dead or alive, but sometimes ignorance was bliss. He felt bad for her, though he had to wonder if it had anything to do with the recent death of their queen he didn’t dare pry. It wasn’t his business… even if he was curious. However, he knew just because she was strong didn’t mean she could protect everyone… perhaps it was something during their time together he would teach her, but for now h supposed it was best to start.
”Well let me see where we are going to start then.” He takes a few steps back. ”Charge me, try and take a bite, though I don’t mind some broken skin, try to have some control.” He adds his form dropping down slightly grounding himself waiting for her moves.
