Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Life had a whole slew of problems for everyone. Ravenna resented the fact that her mother and father were always off on their own doing imprint things when she felt an aching absence in herself. She was certain, somehow, that the fates would never bless her in the way they had blessed her parents. That she wouldn't see some magical sign like they did, wouldn't be pulled to some location and bam, have the world shift around her. Instead she felt like she would be alone in this world forever. Ravenna knew her parents loved them all, yet their love was so encompassing that it felt as if her and her siblings had always been just on the outside glow of it. Really, she just felt lost until she decided to become a healer. It gave her purpose so she had dutifully been collecting and learning and trying to make sense out of this boring life she led.

Yet never in all her short days had she wanted to jump into the water and sink to her grave. She was a fighter; her father sometimes thought of her as a half-wild creature, barely tamed. Even though she was stocky and built like a fight, she had a feminine face and despite her instinctive nature Ravenna, if she was ever caught in a sweet moment, could become a forest nymph of great beauty.

She eyeballs him the entire time that he reaches over to grab at the plants she brought, knowing that they didn't taste quite as good as she let him believe. Yet the way she stares at him dares him to complain about them. Ravenna found that she enjoyed tormenting the boy; he had tried to kill himself for gods sake. He had said he wanted to die. She needed to punish him for such stupidity. Where were his parents anyways? Wouldn't they want to know where he was?

Sven tries to sit up and she just sits there watching him, not offering to help. Serves him right to be hurt so bad. Death wasn't an easy solution and he had failed that test too. Ravenna can't help the smirk on her face as she thinks on his situation, likening herself to some demon and this his own personal hell. How unfortunate for him. Riopat would have been much nicer, she thinks, but she simply can't force herself to hide from him the fact that she thinks he was a dolt by wanting to die.

Ravenna grins broadly as he speaks suddenly, nodding her head in agreement with his words. "Yup," she replies in a happy chirp. Grayson. That name fit him with all his monochrome colors. "Then, Grayson, you have made mine." She flashes some teeth at him in a rather goofy sort of grin, her pale eyes glittering with amusement. She rather likes his sort of joking so maybe he wasn't so much of an idiot. Or maybe she could train him to not make idiot decisions.

"The Butterbur should help in a few moments. When it does you are going to have to get up and we can get you somewhere with some food so you can eat and rest. Don't try jumping back into the river or the ocean. I won't be so nice if I have to fish you out," she warns with a low growl before standing up and shaking off some of the sand that had begun to cling to her fur. "I hope you enjoy your walk. It is going to hurt a bit." She flashes another grin at him, her eyes twinkling in devilish amusement as she waits for him to get up.
