Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He partially blamed himself for mother's disappearance; after all he had been giving her the silent treatment for allowing herself to fall into the "wrong crowd". Aran had disappeared around the same time, and Nari shortly after; it made him sad in a way, they were so close when they were younger but after moving to Glorall they seemed to have drifted. He, himself despite any misgivings towards his mother he held had kept a close eye on her den after the birth; he had seen his younger half-sisters a few times, though he remained at a distance to allow mother to bond with them and to not take out his anger for their father on them. After all they weren't at fault for their father's actions, and he is well aware that a pup can't choose its parents. He was sure mother had took both of them when she went, and didn’t bother check the den it's would only bring him more guilt over her leaving. Purposely distracting himself with his general self-training, and now his focused training of the healer's path. One day he’d find their father and make him pay, hopefully it'll be sometime after his warrior training. For him, three years have come and gone in a blink of an eye. The prey in Glorall didn't bug him as much anymore no matter how weird it is; he could catch it and eat it. he has his den was hidden away in a more wooded area, where he was more comfortable rather than the sandy ground that took up the majority of the pack lands. Though he was sticking around Glorall a lot more now than before, he still occasionally liked to wander within the free lands.

He now was walking among the scorching sand dunes looking for things that may come of use. It was a hot summer day and the heat cause the sand to be almost painful to walk in unless you were by the water or in the shade. His surprisingly thick, yet sleek pelt did help in matters of the temperature. 'I guess I could have gone out to the free lands to cool off, but I have to focus I want to reach my goal before my family comes back; be gradual or sudden.' He sighs to himself. Recently the most socialization he has had was with his teacher, Riopat, and fellow healing arts student, Ravenna. Not that he really minded as far as he knew his entire family has left, and he had never met his father even if that male was still around. He always found his mind wondering when he wasn't actively being taught, the salty fresh wind blowing at his side from over the ocean; it made him wonder what was beyond it. Perhaps one day he'd withdraw from Moladion to venture the world outside, but for now he was content on staying he wanted to at least make sure that the rest of his family came back safe.

That’s when 'it' happened, a gust of wind held a familiar scent. One that he hadn't smelled for a while, one that carried the slightest hint of his mother. His body took control automatically, turning him towards the source at brisk pace heading towards it. Soon he found himself a few meters from the water's edge; he looked both ways of the now practically flat landscape. To his left he spotted another, surely she was the source of the scent he had followed here. Upon approaching from left side behind her, he recognized her as the sister his mother had called Myra.

"Hey Myra, mind if I join you?" He calls out to her slowing his gait slightly. She didn't respond sure he guessed she could be ignoring him but not even a twitch of the ear or tail, told him something else. Out of the corner of his eyes he sees the grey creature diving in and out of the water; perhaps she was just too devoted in watching them to hear him. Before he could do anything else she ran to a nearby rock and hopped up onto it to get a different angle on them.

He let her stare out at them a little while, not wanting to interrupt, coming up to stand beside the rock she was on. Besides it gave him time to contemplate how to get her attention without scaring her. Finally he decided to put his front paws on top of the boulder she was on a lightly poke her left hind hip with his nose. "Where's mother?" He asks tilting his head to the side, after all if she's back that must mean mother is too. He wanted to apologize for his behavior before her leaving, and get to know his younger half siblings now that his tempers have cooled.
