At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

She had left him. Once again.
Why?
She'd ask herself each time. And with each leave, she grew to understand that all it was was fear. Fear of the unknown.. Fear of change.
Before the tragic destruction of her home, Alleria was the perfect alpha- a perfect leader. But that dreadful morning came and something changed in the fae. Something found itself into her mind and her heart that transformed the once all-mighty wolfess that she was. She was suddenly afraid. Of everything. She was insecure about herself, although she put up a facade of complete composure. Her emotions were in turmoil. They resembled the likes of a tornado, rather than a whirlwind.
And it was because of this that the defenses went up. An unseen fortress was built around the aching heart of hers. This, she thought, was why she left. Why she always left.

Whenever she'd come back she'd feel the guilt that she tried so desperately to suppress during her absence. She understood that what she toyed with wasn't something small, albeit fragile, yes, but she toyed with the heart of someone who so willingly opened their arms to her. And she understood that one day, Serris wouldn't welcome her back so lovingly- so easily.

The water of the falls was placid. It calmed her down for a little while. It allowed her to think, and to simply be. She had begun to think about him again. Him, Munashii, her family. Maybe the members of Munashii would've been her family, too, had she not chosen to leave them so often.
Maybe she'd try and get to know them more. Maybe she may even create new relationships she never knew could exist with her.
