Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Return to Lunar Children

THE PATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS MAN;
IP: 108.69.203.48

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Their relationship had certainly come a long way since their first meeting. They were both more comfortable around each other, and slowly beginning to share things that were more personal about themselves. It wasn't like a normal friendship, because they already had that unspoken bond, but it was a little frustrating. Vincent felt like he had known Spirit for years somehow, but yet there was still so much that he didn't know about her. And there was still a lot that she didn't know about him. He was afraid to tell her about himself, and all the things that he had done, things that he wasn't exactly proud of. It was true that now he led a "noble" life but the beast that he really was still lurked just beneath the surface.

He gave a slight chuckle at her question, his fiery eyes aglow with amusement. "No, no, 'course not." Vincent said, his tail giving a few wags. He was glad that she was no longer that shy girl she had been when they first met, and now joked around with him. Her sense of humor was quite like his own and he greatly appreciated that fact. Vince didn't think he'd get along so well with Spirit if she was too serious.

He turned somber as their discussion turned to that of the bear. It wasn't as though it had really affected him personally, but he could see the pain on the faces of those who were related to Neirin and Ifrit. He hadn't known the males well, but by the pain of those left behind Vincent could tell both were well-loved.

Vincent nodded at her words, about to open his mouth before Spirit touched her forehead to his shoulder. The contact sent sparks through his body, and he found himself at a loss for words at the moment. They had never gotten so close before, and it was positively electrifying. He swallowed, trying to regain his composure, mentally scolding himself. He was a huge brute but at the moment he felt so small and humble. He wondered if it was like this for everyone. With a soft smile he reached around to nuzzle just behind her ear, the only place he could really reach due to their different heights.

"Thanks." he said quietly, reluctantly pulling away after a few moments, despite his self-assured posture a blush was beginning to burn under his fur. "You know, you should come to Asteraia sometime. For a visit, maybe. Or if ya like it..." Vincent said suddenly, surprising even himself with the invitation. "You could stay." He cleared his throat again, glancing down at the ground, unable to meet her gaze. It was forward, but so was he. All he could hope for now was that the answer wouldn't be a resounding 'no.'
