Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Antoinette
A pretty girl with broken wings is all that I desire
I walked on tentative paws through the forest, my split-colored eyes dancing between the trees. It had been so long since I had set foot in Moladion. It was here that I had first arrived in these lands, and the day came flashing in front of my eyes. Samil... I wondered what had happened to him. He had been my mentor, and taught me how to hunt and fend for myself. Without him, it was unlikely that I would have survived. My ears folded back against my head slightly and my tail hung guiltily near my hind legs. I had left a lot behind here.

I hadn't meant to leave Moladion for such a long time. Truly. But when I had been stolen away by a pack, the first chance I saw to escape, I simply ran. And I didn't stop, not until my legs and my lungs burned and I couldn't run anymore. Something inside me had snapped, and I wasn't sure quite what had spurred it, but I was filled with an insurmountable fear. I was reminded of the wolves who had killed my old pack and my father, the wolves who had quite nearly taken me captive. Perhaps it was due to the trauma I suffered as a pup that I chose to run, but either way, that's what I had done.

Letting out a soft sigh, I dipped through the trees, glancing up at their changing leaves. Fall was beginning to descend on the land, and despite my rather dismal mood, all the emerging colors put me in a rather good mood. I was home now, at the very least, though 'home' was a very broad term. After Samil had gone, I had left the den in the grotto, and afterwards I didn't have much of a permanent home.

I thought briefly about Nakoda and a small smile graced my lips. I wondered if he was still around, maybe I would seek out the meadow where we first met. But it was quite possible that he had moved on by now. It had, after all, been quite some time, and I hadn't told him of my whereabouts.

But there would be other boys. I settled next to a tree with a confident smile, stretching out my dainty paws in front of me. All in all I supposed it wasn't too bad, being back, certainly not as bad as I'd expected it to be. So long as I didn't run into the wolves who had tried to steal me.
