Ever since my return to Moladion, Enderly had become my shadow, never too far behind me as the torrid summer season had died and winter's gentle breath began to creep down the land's neck. I could feel my hormones beginning to course through me in anticipation, their influence on me never more present than when my demon was close by. A new desire sent a shiver down my spine every time is crossed my mind: the idea of bowing to Enderly, allowing myself to be painted black. It was scandalous really, a goddess and a demon, but my mind couldn't help but wonder what he tastes like. Surely a nibble wouldn't hurt?
There was something that disturbed my disciple, I had seen it plague his mind and mood, followed him when he wandered in search of some mysterious puzzle piece. It did not take me long to realize that the daughter he spoke so highly of had gone without so much as a goodbye to her father. A cruel thing surely, but I could not judge so harshly, for I did my fair share of disappearing in my youth as she has done. Still, it left my forbidden fruit sour and not sweet as I had come to love, so I enticed him away from those sullen thoughts of past vixens and lost children. Things that do not make you happy need to be discarded. Forget them my Enderly; forget Namaah and her betrayal, forget sanguine and her disappearance. Look to me instead.
I laid curled like a deadly serpent in the warmth of the sunning rock I had found. I knew my Enderly was not far off, doing whatever it is that Enderlys do. I felt incredibly lackadaisical this morning, wanting nothing more than to bask in the warm sunlight and nap the day away. If only my Enderly would come back and do the same, to have him near me and to feel his warmth.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear. My eyes did not even need to open to know the familiar sound of Enderly's gait approaching. A devilish smile spreads across my maw as my banner taps the ground in a form of greeting, eyes peaking open to watch his black form slither close to me. "Hungry, my dear?" his voice slides into my ear like the most potent drug. Placed at my feet are two plump groundhogs, spoils of a hunt that he was gracious enough to share with me. "You must keep that lovely figure of yours," he says with that wicked smile dancing across his lips.
My cold sapphire eyes flicker open the rest of the way as I raise my head from my paws to respond to my demon. My body is wrought with conflict as part of me wants to continue to sleep while the other part wants me to get up and play our games with Enderly. In the end, I rise to all fours, stretching out my body in a most seducing way. "You are far to kind my dearest enderly," I saw gently reaching out to grab one of the groundhogs, leaving the larger and plumper of the two for him to eat.
When I had finished, I slicked the blood from my pelt most gingerly in order to keep my beautiful appearance. As I did so, my eyes continued to flash up to the shadow before me, watching him with a feeling of possession. While my appetite had been sated, a new hunger burned inside of me, one that would be quelled in a far different way. I moved closer until I touched what I had deemed as mine long ago. I let out this pleased purr like noise as I pushed closer into him. I slid around him, but not before allowing my tail to tip toe along his jaw. "What mischief can we get into today my desciple?" I whispered into his ear, a grin spread far across my lips.
