Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

A SLEEPLESS malice as black as the oncoming wall of night
So it ever was. So will it always be. Such is the nature of evil.

The agony within him seemed to carve a hole in his gut. It shredded his intestines and onward to his innards, gripping and tearing with a viciousness that left him breathless and unstable on his tall, gangly legs. Underidge did not have time to ruminate about what he had done wrong for the god inside of him demanded he obey. It did not care what he did on his own time, what bonds he created or broke, only that when it needed him that he obey. When he didn't this was the outcome, for Underidge is a firm mind not suitable to bowing to the whims of others unless it coincided with his own desires. A low snarl rips from his maw and his canines snap at the air with audible cracks as his silver ears press into his skull, his equally silver eyes flashing in a mixture of fury and pain.

"Fine!"

The words rip from his mouth in a guttural snarl and immediately the pain subsides. Others might think he was a wolf taken by sickness - in a way, they would be right. Yet Underidge knows the truth, a truth he has begun to spread among a select few wolves. There is a fine tremor in his legs that begins to subside as he stands beneath the trees that rest just outside of Glorall. He had been planning to enter it and find the new leader. Just a glimpse of the male had struck recognition in Underidge and he wished to find out how Eden would react to his presence but for now there were other matters. Achlys was there somewhere and maybe she would follow, maybe she wouldn't; either way, Underidge had no choice.

He took off at an uneven lope, crossing the river with a few well placed leaps before running past the borders of Diveen. His wraith like body stretched and pulled and his jaw opened to cool off his blood. As the gorges pass him by he finds himself once more esconced in woodlands and the urgency in his steps easing as the thing inside of him directs him. Underidge changes course midway through his trot, leaning off to his right and veering out of the woods to a large meadow from which the mountains can be seen shooting high into the sky.

A russet colored male stands subdued as he watches those same mountains, his age settled on his fur for all to see. Still, he was broad and large, one who would not easily give up his life despite the way his eyes seem glazed to Underidge. Despite the fact that he obviously was too old now, that his life had lost meaning.

Underidge pauses to eye the male as the sun glints off his silver fur and the black shadows that run between the strands. It is not in his nature to offer some sweet and disarming smile if Rio glances at him, instead he just pushes forward in his less-than-graceful walk towards Rio and readies himself subtly for the moment it would shift. "The Shade would see you now," he states bluntly as he draws closer, his voice broken and hoarse, and then he lunges at the hip of the male.

At the angle he is in, Underidge hopes to grab onto the fleshy bridge of hind leg and waist and rip; he darts in, attempting to do just that, and he is swift. Whether he hits or not he will then thrust himself around behind the wolf - who would likely be spinning around now - in a half circle pattern and lower his head to snap at the thin tender bones jutting out around the knee. His whole goal is to disable the male from moving. Rio was broad chested and Underidge knew it would be folly to go head to head with the male so he wishes to get a hold of those small bones and snap them with his powerful jaws to make it incredibly difficult for Rio to move or even stand, to shred the male from the hind end and make his way up.
