Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Solitaire had not wanted to leave the place of his birth. Not the first time nor the last, but there had been little options for him on both accounts. The first had been done via kidnapping, and when he had gotten free he had been a yearling. He had returned to Glorall, but he had not been permitted to join. He had been loked over and ignored, and so.. he had left. He had felt that something must have been wrong with him that he could not even be given a word by that alpha -- who is now gone, he gleefully thinks -- and he hopes that this time he would be granted a home here. He does not want to be lost anymore. Solitaire wanted a home, and he wanted his family back.

Granted he knew that Viora might not return, as Tristan has said she'd been loyal to Tesseract -- she'd been there that day, and perhaps that is why Solitaire might not feel as trustful of her -- but at least there was Tristan left, and he figures that is enough. Enough to stay for, to fight for. He had been willing to fight for his place here, to belong again. He still was, if it came to that. He couldn't be sure what the future held, but he wasn't going to give up, either. He had come too far for that, and he knew what blood ran through his veins; he would not let things stand in his way anymore. Solitaire was at the point where he would do whatever it took.

He still does not know what had happened to mother. He hadn't been in the right mindset to ask, because he feels that he won't like the answer. He hadn't been ready, and he has to wonder when he will be. He thinks he could manage with knowing now, but if it's a sore subject, he cannot be sure that Tristan will want to talk about it. This gives him some hesitation on the matter, so he waits. If he knew, then he would have the drive to go after who had done anything to her, but he's clueless as to the matter for now. But when he found out, yes. Retribution would be something that even Solitaire would have the need to carry out. He had sides of both nurture and nature to keep him going.

So far he hasn't been run out as he waits, and this time he would wait for something to be said, or he would demand it. He will allow a little time to pass, but Winter would be a deciding factor in all this. Solitaire did not want another lonely Winter; he wanted something a little more social. Even if he only trusts one creature here, that was enough. That was more than before. But he moves along, because he is curious of the others who live here. If this would be home, then he should at least meet them, right? On he goes. Of course went his gaze sweeps over the general outlay of where he's at, there is pause given when he spots the odd but known facial markings of someone. Viora. Solitaire says nothing, but he does move closer, only some feet away to regard her in silence. He does not know how to feel.
