It was true that Grayson made it quite clear that he detested the food she brought him yet Ravenna never gave him many options to refuse. He had been hurt in the beginning and had taken what sustenance she gave him. Honestly she wasn't sure why he detested the seafood so much. It was a staple in the diets of the wolves in Glorall and to her mind it was a common thing. Everyone ate shellfish and lobster and crab. Seal meat was delicious because it was fatty and was always revered in the fall months as a way to pack on the weight quickly before winter hit. Ravenna always carried a generous portion of weight and she doubted winter would phase her much anyways, but she did enjoy the taste of the fat when she tore it from the pale flesh of a seal.
Ravenna had not made his healing easy for him; at least not in the sense of kindness. She had been careful to make sure she gave him the right plants as she learned them from Riopat, eagerly making sure his cuts did not fester beneath her care and that he had a hearty appetite. His body needed to keep functioning to heal. She was proud of herself even if he griped at her and claimed she did such things on purpose by making him eat the nasty leaves of one plant that would help speed up his healing. She always shrugged him off with her half smirk that made it look like she did do it on purpose. It wasn't like she didn't get a kick out of pissing him off.
It is in her nature to be bossy, just as is was in Warlow's nature to control the movements of his imprint and mate. Mistletoe could maneuver around it if she wanted to but she was a gentle soul and gave into her mate with ease. Grayson was hers, whether he knew it or not, and as such she had the right to demand things from him. It was natural - her parents did it. Still, he always grew irked whenever she said things like that and her ears always folded back in mild irritation at HIM being irritated. A strange circle of annoyance.
Her jaw opens and shuts with an audible snap at his words, eyes flaming up in her fury at his dismissal of her work.
"HEY!" She shouts, jolting towards the mollusks as he thrusts them back into the sea and before she can catch them the wave grips them and hauls them out. She spins around now with her ears flat and a growl erupting from her throat, clearly thinking if attacking him would do any good to alleviate her anger. He remains collected as he starts walking away and she lunges after him with a snarl, even though she does not attack and instead ends up traipsing at his side with a sullen look on her face.
"There is nothing wrong with seafood. You are just weird." She states, glancing at him with another narrowed glare.
"I hope you find something good soon or I will start taking bites out of your hide," she warns with a flick of her tail.
