I feel something slip over me as I stare at the wolf before me, she was pretty, her eyes alluring, but it was more than that. There was intelligence present, and I felt the gentleness of her nature, but there was something there beneath the surface that suggested she could have a fighting chance in the Family of the Night.
I often find myself wondering what I truly wish to do with my new found rule, sure I want to change things outside the pack, but...what would make mine different?
The truth is, there is only to be violence to those who violate us, or those weaker than the wolves in my borders. There is strength in numbers, especially when each individual is the strongest and meanest already. True, we do consume the flesh - or blood - of our victims and enemies alike, we are opportunists. Weeding out the weak in the lines is natural to those competing for resources. Only the strong may create the next generation, and when resources are thin, we overcome this. Predators are prey who don't know it yet. Either way, would you rather have the wolf knock on your door, or be the one to answer it?
How would Starshade fit into the family? The children, yes, she can dig dens for spring and protect the children. Teaching them, though, well...this would have to be seen. Something of a smirk touches my face, ears rolling toward the girl of dark and light, "You would be willing to protect the young, teach them, watch them? Help with dens, help with hunting of prey, all this? What is it you truly seek?" It is in this moment I notice the dark wolf approaching and I watch with a cynical expression and a gaze of bright jade ice. His polite demeanor laid my warning flags down, the fur laying flat once more along my spine, but still the unease of the other had me step more toward him and put myself within reaction distance of the two. I listen to his question, and to hers, a bright smile now taking over the pure china porcelain of my face.
"Well, this answer is only given to those with an open door policy to their minds. Those of a meeker constitution will run and never return. So it depends on how badly you wish to know the answer, though I assure you, you would be much safer inside. You may even have a good time, may become part of my family, the one I wish to build." I grin at them, hoping they were curious enough to know the answer, what do I plan to do? This is only for those within the fold of the Night to know, and the rest of Moladion to find out.
