Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

On and onward he goes, looking and searching for what information he could gain from all that was here. Riot would never be done with it, and he would always want to know more. Anything and everything more. Knowledge was power and although he doesn't seek alphaship, he did want to rise in ranks when he finally settled down into a pack. But first he had to learn more of all the packs and decide from there if one was going to suit his needs. Nothing had to be rushed -- or shouldn't be -- but the impending Winter did make things less than easy in this area. Too bad, really.

But if there was still nothing of notable worth by that time, then Riot would wait it out. Deal with the harshness of being alone in the Winter, because he could not make less of himself for a pack. They would be worthy or they would be overlooked. That was all; there was no compromise in it for Riot. He honestly wasn't a fan of such a thing. If it didn't have what he needed to thrive, then it was nothing he wanted. It felt like a long, drawn out process, but to be sure, such a thing was mandatory. Riot had accepted this sort of thing and kept going.

He wasn't sure how he felt about all the sand under his paws. He did not often go to the sandy areas, and had to debate his feelings over it now, as there was a pack with sand everywhere. He'd seent he borders of it as he went along, scoping out potential homes. The sand would not be the deciding factor, of course. No, if the pack was good and had all the aspects that Riot needed, the sand was the least of his issues. He could learn to like it, or at least grow in comfort with standing and moving upon it. This was one of those testing factors, maybe. Walk along on it for the feel.

Up ahead, he detected the sound of a voice and ventured closer with a thoughtful gaze. Ears pricked forward when he heard words, speaking of the sand and where it had come from. A question of it, not an answer. But he was still curious as to what would be said of it, because maybe something of intereste could come from the conversation. Riot stepped closer, but still at a bit of distance. Winter made females nervous, and Riot could understand that. He had no intentions for such things -- he needed to be stable first -- but he would respect the uncertainty of them anyway.

He settled to his haunches those paces away and dipped his head politely at them. "Hello. Do you have theories of where the sand comes from? It caught my attention, those words, and I am curious about it too." It was a little direct, but Riot was doing all he could to put them both at ease with his presence here. Sitting these paces away and speaking of the sane, hoping that valuable information would be spoken by one or both of the females there. Even if not at all about the sand, Riot could learn a lot from how either of them spoke and what about. That was enough.
