Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

To pull this off, she would have to dig down deep, and play with emotions that had never shown their face in years, and that meant thinking of painful things, emotionally and physically. She sighed, her eyes jerking away from the male’s face. She found herself thinking of things that had long been buried, and it hurt. She still had to pretend the fear, but the rest she was finding easier to make real. She lifted her eyes once again, peering at the male who stood tall before her. He was huge compared to her minuscule size. She tilted her head as he moved closer in. She found herself shifting, pretending to trip over her own feet and stumble backwards some, as if he was invading her personal space.

The dark muzzle bent closer to her white chest, her eyes darting back to his face as she listened to his words. She felt as if she was shrinking more in size as she tucked herself closer, her eyes darting to look from his face to the ground. “why are you trying to scare me? I didn’t do anything to you.” her soft, innocent voice drifted in the air between them, her eyes glancing to where he was looking. It was the general direction of Asteraia, and well. She hadn’t spoken to anyone before she left, due to her unwillingness to let them hear her real voice, so, she wasn’t about to let them think she was a fake.

She stumbled backwards again, her legs fumbling as she moved, her tail tucked between her legs. Oh, how she couldn’t wait to pull out the real her. She had to let this thing go a little further though, she didn’t want to mess up yet. No, she wanted to see what she could get him to do, and then she’d turn the tables on him. She wasn’t stupid, she had smelled Glorall on him, and he had the air about him of someone high up so she knew if she played her cards right, she’d find a way to use this in her favor. Whatever may happen, so be it.
