Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Grey Wind

Life had been too boring for the brute and he was beginning to go stir crazy. There was only so many times that he could walk the borders of the pack before he became bored. And the winter months did not help. He was well adapted to living in the winter and the cold, his fur grew out thick and heavy to keep him warm, but it was even more boring than things were now. Luckily spring was now here and the other animal species were beginning to stir again. While most beings were recovering from the cold and lack of food from the winter, the large grey brute as strong and healthy as ever. He had lived long enough now to know how the winters in these lands were and had been ready for it. Grey Wind never took time to rest, even in the winter when there seemed to be nothing to do. He was always making himself do something, to keep his body working and in perfect shape. With how quiet things had been lately he wanted to be ready for the storm that he knew would come. Things could only stay quiet and peaceful for so long. And besides, life was boring when things were this quiet, he needed something to spice things up.

When the brute woke that morning a part of him just wanted to stay in his den, to be lazy and do nothing as it seemed so many other lupines did. But that was not the way he was trained to be. With an annoyed grunt the brute pushed his large form out of his den and into the growing sunlight of the morning. It was still early and the sun was not quite risen yet, but he always woke up early naturally. Grey Wind always started his day with a run around the borders, wanting to check to make sure that things had been quiet and uneventful during the night. It was not that the brute did not trust his alpha to do these things, he trusted Kershov whole –heartedly, he just felt that it was his duty to the pack to do his part and help defend it and make sure it was safe. If he didn’t patrol the border every day, sometimes multiple times, he thought he truly would go mad from boredom and lack of purpose. The brute just hoped that his alpha would find something useful for him to do soon.

After the brute’s stilts took him around the borders he decided he needed to do something else today. He had hunted recently and was not particularly hungry so that was out, but what else was there to do when there was such a lull in activity? He growled at the air in annoyance, wishing that there was someone he could be with, at least to share in the boredom with. Kershov was not the type of alpha to “hang out” with his soldiers and assassins, that was not the make-up of this pack. The only other being that he had spend much time with was Aerten. The feisty femme reminded him of himself, which is why the pair both got along and fought, He remembered their last meeting, when she had the putrid scent of another pack on her pelt and he had attacked her. Maybe he was out of line but he felt like she should not be associating with other packs unless there was a reason behind it, and he had not seen a reason at the time, so of course the logical thing to do was to take his anger out on her. Grey Wind knew that the femme was a strong fighter and was capable of holding her own against him, so he knew that he would not permanently hurt or maim her in their tussle.

But Grey Wind had not seen any sign of her recently. He stalked through the territory, trying to think of something to do until finally he decided to leave Abendrot’s borders and explore around Blossom, see if he could find something more interesting. As he crossed the borders that Kershov had set he broke into a run, wanting his muscles to have something to do. The air was warm and felt good on his pelt, which was thinning as summer approached. He let his tongue loll from his mouth lazily, banner waving in the wind in a leisurely way. After a while he was surprised to catch the scent of Aerten. Without thinking he directed himself to follow her trail, wondering why she was so far from Abendrot’s terra. It did not take him long to reach Blossom Field and see her lounging in the sun. He waited before approaching, assuming that she was here to meet someone. A growl began to grow in him when he saw another femme approach her and tackle her, clearly this was a friend, but it was not one of the many beings of Abendrot. The brute did not see the need for friends outside of the pack, not when there were those loyal to Kershov that she could befriend.

The brute drew closer, stalking through the flowers that masked his scent for now. When he was close enough he familiar scent of SawTooth reached his nares. This was not the first time this scent had been upon the russet female’s pelt and he could not take it anymore, the rage built up too much and he leapt forward, a snarl on his features before he could speak. ”Aerten. Why are with another wolf that is not of Abendrot? Are your loyalties to the pack changing? Would you rather be with this useless cripple than your own?” He knew the words were harsh and mean, but he did not care. He had been alone for so long now that he saw Aerten’s actions as a betrayal, and he was past the point of being rational. Grey Wind would not outwardly attack another being for no reason, but his anger and aggression was obvious as he stared down the female’s, tail and haunches bristled as he growled.

OOC: sorry he’s so mean to poor Dib =( he’s been too lonely and now he’s just being dumb and irrational

"Fight back,"He snarled.
