Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He knows when he's been spotted. It's like the burning of holes into the back of his skull to be looked at in that way -- the way where they were confused and wanted to know what was wrong, what he was.. -- Mockingbird knew the feeling very well. It's here again and he wonders if he should stop moving or proceed as he was. He wasn't being flagged down or spoken to, and maybe it was just a look and nothing more. Mockingbird was sure that barely any that lived here would really remember him, as he had done nothing worth remembering, really. He never got a chance to be anything at the start.

Born wrong and not enough to have become a king. He would have wanted to if he hadn't been looked over, if his birthright had not been ripped away from him. Judila wasn't even around anymore. He had tried to get Liah to take her place, but things simply had not worked out that way. She never was ingrained with the drive that he was. Something gained from both parents, in a sense. Except Mockingbird had wanted it, wished he had a choice as to how it had gone. But he hadn't been considered male enough for his genderless scent, and there had been no way around it. He had suffered through his youth for that.

Mockingbird had decided to eventually try pack life, though finding a place was not of that much interest to him. Perhaps when he found what he was looking for in the other sense, he would simply try to place himself in the pack to where the ties belonged. That would be the simple way in which to do it, and it would cover a lot of bases and be less messy. At least that was what he was thinking on those terms. Of course he wasn't all that social in the grand scheme of things, so he wasn't precisely sure how much of an asset he would be. Probably not much of one, to be honest.

The growl caught his attention, had him flicking an ear in that direction. He paused in step, turning to stare drolly into the shadowed areas. "It's not very practical to growl when trying to go unnoticed." He stated, wondering if whomever it was -- female, if he was correct -- would venture out from the shadows not that he had called her out. She had growled at his passing, after all. Might as well see why to that matter. He did not recognize the scent of her, so he didn't think he knew her or vice versa. So what could the growl have been for?
