Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

While he waited, he tried to decifer the different smells at the border and lingering just within, and he noted one that stood out. Ava was here. The thought settled in his gut like a heavy rock, and he sighed. Covet was not particularly sure what to make of the subject of the re-imprinting on Ava, but at least he didn't need to stick around or be near her much. She could take care of herself and probably wanted him around just as much as he wanted her around. This worked for him, and all around helped. He was happy to abjure from Ava's presence. Maybe he would have been compelled to stick around if his imprinted wanted that, but since this did not seem to be the case here, he was free to disregard the whole thing, more or less. Or so he figured.

Ears curve outwards for a moment as the other call came to let him know someone would be there soon. Covet had to wonder who it was, but it had to be one of the boys; Tristan or Solitaire. It was the only call that came right off, but that did not matter to him. Any of them was good enough, to at least see what was going on with the remainder of his family. He'd never been close to his littermates or any of the others, so this was pretty much it for him. Enigma had been more of a mother to him than Covet could even think of the female who had given birth to him (he'd probably have attacked that one on sight if he'd been able; he had some abandonment issues there). As such, the litter Enigma had were more siblings than any of the others to him.

Sure, he hadn't been around a lot during those days, but Covet had been young and still trying to get a handle on his... problem. He knew the ins and outs of it now, but it had taken time to get here. But he never forgot them, not his siblings and Enigma-mother, not the children he'd never been able to see and knew no names for, not the females who had borne those unknown pups. Covet remembered, and had to often remind himself of why he had gone and why he couldn't let things get to him now that he had returned. He knows that his father was dead, but he doesn't know who had done it; it wasn't a scent he came across before, it didn't smell like anything he had been near before at all. There was little to go on with that. There had been enough loss in his life by now..

When one wolf comes into sight, he notes the look of this one, and remembers the name. This one was Tristan. The one with the spots was Solitaire, and the female was Viora. Easy enough to tell the differences, at least. The greeting from his brother was friendly, at least, and Covet offers a dip of his head to Tristan. "Yes, it has been, and I do think so. Now is a good of a time as any to finally settle to Moladion. Things feel different here this time." Answers, and commentary on the changes he had detected. The whole of it felt different. There was still those of darker mindsets, yes, there probably always would be. But the vibe of those who would hunt them did not feel so strong anymore. That was different.
