The distant memory of that day hung with her. Not because she thought of him often. No, because the proof of that day wiggled within her womb all day, every day. She didn’t feel any need to see him again, mainly because what was the use? He had gotten what he wanted, and she, well, got stuck with the evidence. She didn’t really find herself dying to see him again. There wasn’t much of a need to see him. They went their separate ways and until the parasites were born, there wasn’t much for him to do. Sure, he was an alpha, but he wasn’t her alpha so he couldn’t really tell her what to do. Even after they were born they’d still be her responsibility until they were old enough to fend for themselves. So in her mind, she held the power in this situation, wouldn’t you think?
She had laid down, her head resting on her red striped legs, silver-white ears twisted as she listened to the pack-land around her. She had been assigned a task, to follow Tobias, and yet, she hadn’t started. She didn’t really know what she was waiting for. Maybe a part of her mind was refusing to do it just yet, to keep her young healthy, but at the same time that thought process didn’t make sense to Renai. None of it did.
She smelled him before she heard him. What did he want? Her eyes rolled slightly in her skull. She would not go to him, no. She stood, stretching and let out a yip. He could come to her if he needed to see her. I wasn’t overly announcing my pregnancy. My sides were not bulging, they just had filled in more than usual. Not that it mattered much to her. She leaned back, sitting down looking around her. Waiting to see if he would really come to her.
