Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It had been uncomfortable to be so quiet for so long and yet, he felt as if he had little choice in the matter. Things had changed, yes, but just because his own life had come to a stop did not mean the rest of the world had. Instead, things continued forward: Iromar sent out wolves towards Glorall and the calls of the pack still echoed out across the vast territory like a bite to his ear. Eventually, he had to simply accept it for what it was. The male had adapted well to the dunes and the pack had followed suite; did it mean Tesseract had failed entirely? Perhaps, yes, but at least he had kept his children safe enough. At least for now, though he had heard no news of Cersei. He had to admit that was smart of her, though - if she had come to him so soon, who could guess what their new leader might think of the situation. He could not say confidently whether or not his daughter intended to some day betray Eden's lead, but he knew that at least for now, she merely wished to ensure Octavia and the others had some kind of place in their birth home. The fallout from it all had not been entirely bad, at least. That single silver lining to an otherwise dark cloud.

It had been some time since his encounter with Eden and whereas many of his injuries had healed, he found himself still unable to enjoy the fleeting movement he once had. For whatever reason, his back leg had been obstinate. Though he could still sprint, leap and walk all the same, he found himself often limping and after too long of such activity, he found himself complaining of a peculiar tightness that spread across the muscle of his hock. It was unlike any injury he had before and yet, he knew within himself that he could overcome it soon enough. So, with much to clear from his mind, he had taken to roaming further and further from Iromar in order to stretch the muscle and test its limitations. Today, he had made it quite far and yet, he had finally settled in the forest where the snow had not grown so thick. He had found himself a rather cozy position beneath one of the shorter trees, the ground almost bare of snow as he settled onto his haunches with an exasperated sigh. He had begun to feel that familiar stiffness and yet, the moment he placed his weight off of it, it seemed to begin to dissipate almost instantly.

If there had to be one thing more obnoxious than a limb that did not desire to operate entirely like a limb, it was the sound of an unknown voice with words like teeth. Lose everything. The inflection of a question brought about an instinctual growl from Tesseract, a momentarily frothing in the back of his throat as he turned to face the pale stranger. Instantly, his eyes met the unusual whiteness of the other's (a trait he had seen briefly in what he was assured to be his siblings, from a male by the name of Paldor). He had to contemplate for a moment whether or not the strange male might have been a sibling. However, it could not have been. There was nothing familiar in his face and still, his words had been so... planned.

"Would you like to find out?" He inquired plainly, biting back the hostility in his voice (a trait that always emerged in winter and yet, more so after his defeat it seemed.) His eyes remained black and he felt his weight shift beneath him ever so slightly, preparing himself for some unannounced scuffle.

"Or would you rather just find out what it is like to lose your tongue?"

After all, he still had his confidence. Here and now, he did not need to worry about some bastard slipping in his childrens' den to cull them. They were alone here, surrounded only by possibility.
