His greeting was simple enough, and despite the string of titles I often proffered when meeting a stranger upon my borders I could also appreciate the simplicity in a name. Haziel; a name I had not heard before. But then there were plenty of wolves throughout Moladion whose names I had never heard, in passing or otherwise. The shifting of his eyes confirmed my suspicions of his blindness, though it really made no difference. I had spent time in the company of emissaries from other packs who could not speak, one who could not see hardly presented any real struggle. It seemed from his body language that he was more than happy to simply cut straight to the point, and I was ready and willing to oblige such a thing. He questioned my feelings about the ongoing affairs throughout Moladion, specifically in regards to Asteraia’s new uprising and whether there was any desire to form a new alliance with Glorall. Eden, Glorall’s new alpha, desired to meet with me to meet with me one on one to discuss such a thing if it was my desire.

There was much to consider in regards to Glorall and the potential for a future relationship. I could not completely ignore the instinct in the back of my mind to seek out Tesseract and ensure his livelihood. He had been a long time friend and ally to my pack. Even so, I could not deny the possibility of ensuring some semblance of well being between our packs. The comfort alliances between Spirane and all five of the other Moladion packs had given me was something that I wished to have again, though such a chance had perhaps vanished with Rhae. At most I thought that a treaty with Asteraia might be within the realm of possibility, but a true alliance might be an option with Glorall. There were many if, ands, or buts involved.

“At this point I do not know enough about Eden or the new alphess of Asteraia to form an honest opinion on the matter. Though I cannot deny that the tune of the voices that lift from the plains these days do not...concern me.” I gave pause then, considering the proposition made to me. “If you would humor me, what is your personal assessment of Glorall’s new leader?” If he was new to the pack perhaps his judgment of the alpha would be most honest; something about Glorall must have drawn him in. I debated inquiring after Tesseract, but if Haziel had only recently moved to the seaside pack chances were he did not know the whereabouts of the former king. I left his final inquiry unanswered, curious of his opinions before I formally agreed to a meeting with this Eden fellow.
