She is a confusing thing, though perhaps she does not know it. I wonder why she has come, after all. She speaks of other matters and yet, she seems almost hesitant to reveal them. Her apologetic mannerisms are dismissed, however, and I swing my muzzle in such a matter so she might understand that I do not wish for such apologies. I merely wish to hear this answer. It is, after all, almost an offence to imply that I may not have the capabilities to handle something that the former king might have been summoned for. I will wait, however, and I will give her time to explain herself. I shift my weight, still trying my best to appear as a non-threat. It is hard, however, to do such a thing when she mentions Tesseract and his beach. I cannot help but pinch the corners of my eyes, narrowing them onto her own as my hackles twitch in agitation. "Tesseract has no beach to show you," I state simply, though I can feel my voice resonate ever so slightly with the timbre of frustration. "His offer is not null - he is." I allow the words to rest between us then. Of course, she seems adamant to continue on her former path, her voice suddenly taking on a more peculiar tone as she begins to speak. She speaks of alliances now, and I cannot help but become... disgruntled. Perhaps I am being petty for being unable to move on from her talk of Tesseract and her apparent joy at the prospect of having come to see him - but, nonetheless, petty or not... I do not wish to move on from such a thing. If I am to take all that comes with Glorall then I, too, must take the joy others felt coming here. This beach is mine now and as such, I have the right to take the promises that he made regarding it. I have no doubt she can likely tell I am ignoring her proposition for the time being. An alliance may be beneficial, but it may be a detriment. For the time being, it doesn't matter. Why does their leader not approach me? So many kings and queens too afraid to creep out of their castles. What are they so afraid of? I begin to turn away from her then after several moments of heavy silence. I breathe out a singular sigh, passing a glance over my shoulder and allowing my eyes to reach out to hers. At least, my features do not feel so taut anymore. I am once more controlling the situation and I cannot lie, it does feel good to snuff out even more of Tesseract's very existence. That is, if she is not too unwilling to take this new offer. "If you have come to see the ocean, then you shall see it. Then, perhaps we may discuss this... alliance." I pause for several moments once more before I begin to lead forward, ambling across the territory and towards the east. It is a simple path: we will not enter the mainland but rather, skirt the borders before meeting the coast. Then, she may do as she pleases. It is, after all, the least I can do considering she had allowed me to infiltrate Iromar without repercussions. |
